Of course you could take a page from the 'Strine ops manual and move them all to somewhere like South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands and just leave them there while their case is being 'processed'.

Why not NZ?
Borders closed, we don't want a rabble of Covid infected newcomers.
hope the rule changes allow us to follow the Strine lead and actually discourage the criminal entrants from committing their crimes.
Remember the "Keep Australia White" policy a few years back ? Fancy saying that now ? Woke Forbid.

While we are on the subject of responsibilities the UK and other countries owe a debt to the survivors of their colonial, imperial and commercial plunderings.

No, they don't. Just because you think that it doesn't make it true.

There seem to be a few changes afoot in the rules etc relating to asylum seekers and the UK, a definite sniff of Trumpish facism is sneaking in but maybe some folks here will like that.
Ah, use of the f-word to stir the pot. Please define what is fascist. Just because you say it is doesn't make it true.

George Orwell wrote in 1944 that "the word 'Fascism' is almost entirely meaningless. ... almost any English person would accept 'bully' as a synonym for 'Fascist.'"

Bullies, i.e. Fascists, will always deny responsibility for their actions.

Some of the criminal migrants are fleeing their own shithole countries as a result of fascist intervention by The Empire. Iran, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen are just six such examples.

Britain's association with American fascism is not an excuse for lawbreaking by illegal migrants to the UK. Anyway, millions of such migrants are from countries which have not been bombed invaded and occupied by fascist America.

Interesting that you are able to speak for "almost any English person." Or are you just desperately scrambling to invent a definition to correct your mistake? Just because you say it doesn't make it true.

Let's leave the Fascism of the US aside in our discussion of the legality or otherwise of illegal immigrantcy into the UK.

NZ doesn't like inflatable boats, especially the ones belonging to French Special Forces.
Because they stand on the wall and say "nothing's gonna hurt you tonight, not on my watch".

Obviously everybody reserves the right to dislike the inflatables bringing troublemakers. Maybe we can all agree on that

Who says that the migrants are troublemakers?

It might be that they are law-abiding (apart from being invaders).

It is like the "criminal" test where if you say they are criminals then they must be, it works the same if you say they are troublemakers.

There need being only one or two to really ruin the day for a lot of citizens.Like the guy who reached Paris via the island of Leros in late 2015 perpetrating the attack in Bataclan in Paris.

Yet another record for Patel to savour? A complete waste of space. She fits well into the government.
