Migrants

#1 Post by OFSO » Tue Aug 20, 2019 1:15 pm

The Spanish government has announced it is sendng warships to collect the 500 Africans from the two charity-funded rescue boats currently moored off Lampedusa (the Italians have not permitted them into port) to bring the Africans to Palma de Mallorca. Freed of their load, the two vessels will be able to enter port, fuel up and take on supplies of food and water, and, er, return to patrol the African coast for another lot of Africans to 'rescue' and bring to Europe.

I meant to write about using the coast guard to check and detain those vessels we remember how poorly the Italians performed with thebraless captain of Sea Watch, last month. . But then again the governments around Europe are doing what the majority of the citizens want them to do. For some reasons helping illegal immigrants invade Europe and it is considered cool to help them. What is funny is the invaders would not tolerate the behaviour of their saviours once they have gained asylum.

What is also 'funny' is that that the 'majority of the citizens ' who want this are actually pretty scarce on the ground and I've hardly ever met one. Most of them are your typical 'champagne socialists' who live comfortable suburban or rural lives in places where they are not likely to be affected by a wave of assisted invaders other than maybe the odd Syrian hairdresser or mechanic.

The governments of most of Europe appear to be in self-destruct mode. Good for those who have said 'no'.

Now not going to Spain. Italy wants them. But Italian PM Conti has resigned, warning Salvini that Italy is morally and economically on a desperate downward spiral.

What, again?

Citizens of Palma de Mallorca sighing with relief, seen on TV.

If they did so why they didn't complain beforehand?

Between being told, or not being told, by Madrid (the caretaker minority government) the migrants were arriving in Palma, and that being cancelled by Italy, was just a couple of hours. Not enough time to protest. And besides, protest achieving anything...really ?

All came ashore in Italy last night. As ever, the dumping ground for N Africans while Europe looks the other way.

I heard that the boat was confiscated. Is that true?

The boat is not the problem. The Africans are the problem.

I note that OFSO has referred to them as 'North Africans' and 'Africans'. I wonder which they are. North Africans/Maghrebins are far less of a problem than black sub-Saharan Africans. The former generally have some education and can speak a European language (even if it's only Frog) and many want to survive by doing casual work.

Sub-Saharan Africans are quite different, they are often without skills or education and the only way they know to survive is by crime, usually violent.

Neither are particularly desirable in an increasingly overcrowded and tense Europe, but the latter are the really bad news.

Yes, I probably am 'racist' for saying this. That's fine, thank you.

Which are the ones flogging cheap (expensive) tat like watches and Sun glasses?

Does anyone but this crap?

I suspect a suitcase of crap is passed from one to another on shifts. A bit like tuc-tuc drivers in India hiring tuc-tucs by the hour.

No ! The problem is the witless f*ckpigs contributing to the charities running these vessels. I know several Germans who think it's their Christian responsibility to finance these people to enable them to fish the sub-saharan Africans out of the water a few hundred metres off the African coast and bring them to Europe. Any appeal to a sense of logic falls on deaf ears, because "the poor Africans would drown if we didn't pick them up."

Capetonian, If you remember just before our meeting Ex-A asked you to specifically avoid a particular area of the town. This is the area where North Africans enjoy their stay in EU and make a living by picking pockets and wallets of people not much different from what you say about Sub-Saharan ones. Then new government has moved some police in that Square but they are yet to prove their value. The problem remains ALL uncontrolled immigration is trouble-making.

We are all racist; the problem is that some racism (favouring illegal immigration, LGB, drug using, is a good one. Ours is a bad one.

Yes, RiS, I well remember the warning. I don't use the Metro anyway, anywhere, as I suffer from ochlophobia, which is a great excuse to avoid shopping centres too.

As you say, the North Africans indulge in petty theft, they are less likely to indulge in extremely violent crime than sub-Saharan savages who have zero value for life.

I am surprised that in these computerised days the UK still doesn’t know how many in versus how many out.

Sure there’ll be “seepage” across the water by inflatable or in the back of a lorry and the odd few ambling across the NornIron border but the “known” numbers are ridiculous in the 21st century.

So much for regaining control of our borders if we’re still importing at least an estimated 59,000 per annum-a rough figure cobbled up from unreliable sources and computed using unreliable methods and civil servants.

It is not hard to count people. The most reliable measures are supermarket receipts, and electricity and water usage.
However, since these measures showed that migration was far higher than the government had said, roughly 10 million more around 12 years ago, these companies were ordered to STFU and the government continues to use measures they know don't work. Here's the article from 2007 that revealed the problem, and after which the government put a huge effort into suppressing the info.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/busi ... 28454.html

In addition to illegal migrants getting in, the government's methods also under-represent the number of professionals leaving the UK permanently. There was a Home Office Study on this which the government also suppressed.
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... report.pdf
The government shut down the facility for people emigrating from the UK to take their non-funded pensions (e.g. teachers', civil service) with them, because the Treasury could no longer afford it, yet the official stats would indicate there shouldn't be a problem.

When I emigrated, my departure would not have been registered. When I was last in the UK, I stayed at a property where 3 of the 4 people in it were UK residents measured by the government's definition, but were not registered as such or paying taxes of any sort.

Unusually, the UK has no border for those leaving. You just get on the plane and go.
I'm sure they don't even know I left in 2013.
Most countries check your passport when you leave. Not the UK.

I wonder why not?

Perhaps they prefer not to know.....?

At Eurostar International the British most definitely do check your passports when you leave the UK.

The majority of passengers who leave the UK do so by air, and there is definitely no check by the authorities, only a security/ID check at the boarding gate. . Some people seem to think that passports are scanned at this point and the information stored. This is complete nonsense, it is the boarding pass which is scanned and the passport is only subject to visual inspection. I also do not recall an outbound passport check when leaving the UK by ferry.

One reason that the UK is awash with illegal aliens is that people can enter legally, and then become illegal either by outstaying the duration, or contravening the the terms, of their entry. That they are recorded as having entered but nobody knows if they have left should be a matter of grave concern. Some of them will pop up in due course for various reasons, but many of them simply disappear into the uncountable and unaccountable underworld of the inner cities and the sink estates where the police are scared to venture.

Cape.
So true.
If 100 people enter legally, the UK doesn't know if 100, or none actually left when their visa expired.

It's a pathetic performance.

But far better than the Schengen countries with no control whatsoever. Other than the Russians next door, every one of my immediate neighbours lives in Spain illegally.
