Migrants

"The plane was scheduled to leave the UK on Thursday morning, but had to be scrapped while the appeals are considered."
Sounds like my ex and kid..."Just get rid of it and get a new one".

Re: Migrants
“ As for Neil Coyle - never heard of him until 1025(A)28082020 but ............. how is he allowed to be an MP?”
Probably ‘cos he was elected and hasn’t yet done an “Onasanya” Peterborough Labour MP stunt yet in an attempt to get deselected?
But there is one outfit determined to overhaul the System and to drain the swamp;
“Reform the voting system to make it more representative.
• Abolish the unelected House of Lords.
• Make MPs who switch parties subject to recall petitions.
• Overhaul the postal voting system to combat fraud and abuse.
• Reform the Supreme Court – judges who play a role in politics must be subject to political scrutiny. Ensure political balance by broadening participation in the Selection Commission or conduct interviews by Parliamentary Committee.
• Make the Civil Service more accountable to the public – we would require civil servants to sign an oath to act with political neutrality.
• Phase out the BBC licence fee.
• Require Universities to incorporate an obligation to protect legal free speech.
• Introduce Citizens’ Initiatives to allow people to call referendums, subject to a 5m threshold of registered voter signatures and time limitations on repeat votes.”
But they are so awful you could not possibly consider voting for them!
Hint, they’re not the LibDems...

Re: Migrants
Within their manifesto is the following thread-relevant statement, which you would have found if you’d been more diligent in your research;
“Crack down on illegal immigration and stop the human tragedy associated with human trafficking.
• Reduce annual immigration and address wage stagnation and the skills gap by introducing a fair points system that is blind to ethnic origin. And always provide a humane welcome for genuine refugees.”

Re: Migrants
OK, but I was expecting better of you, particularly since that was what the thread was about? I'll learn.

What is the point? https://www.expressandstar.com/news/uk- ... crossings/
As far as I know we have had surveillance drones over the Channel for months. Unless the 'Watchkeeper' is to be equipped with missile to sink the boats, why waste the money? It is what we are NOT doing about it that is important, NOT re-re-re-confirming it is happening.

Re: Migrants
^ My eyes are nearly out on stalks watching this unfold - as when the "migrants" marched across Europe a few years ago. Unbelievable. Why is this being permitted to happen?
"And to think that it's the same dear old Moon..."
Re: Migrants
Does Priti Patel get an award for over-seeing a record number of illegal immigrants?
Re: Migrants
I'll go back to an earlier question, as it stands at the moment I understand that these people are not "illegal", that is why Johnson is promising to change the law in order to make them "illegal", no I don't understand why either.
This is what happens under a Lib Dem Prime Minister. Presumably the ECJ forbid us from sending them back.
There is a school of thought that puts forward the logic that there are so many here already another couple of thousand won't make much difference, perhaps the Tories don't want anther term in office.

They won't unless they get a proper Tory leader.

Re: Migrants
I think that clip is very sobering.
Nigel Farage is articulating what all right minded people in this country think, which is exactly why the lefties can't stand him, he reduces what arguments they might put forward to rubbish.

Re: Migrants
Try saying that to our illustrious Green Goblin and observe Mr Gammon self-destructing before your eyes?
I’ll hide in the sangar nearby until the debris has settled!
Re: Migrants
Is there any way I can swap my BoJo shoe-in MP for Mr Farage or swap Bonking Boris?
Re: Migrants
The rising popularity of Nigel Farage is making him into a messiah, (almost), here he is again today,

Re: Migrants
This MahoneyBaloney wankster seems to me to be a rightcunt.
French authorities are "just as committed" as the UK to stopping migrants crossing the Channel in small boats, MPs have been told.
The Home Affairs Select Committee heard evidence from Dan O'Mahoney, the Home Office's clandestine Channel threat commander.
"There is a lot of joint working and it is delivering results."
However, the former Royal Marine who reports directly to the Home Secretary, conceded: "It's nowhere near the level we'd like it to be and that is frustrating."
Mr O'Mahoney praised Border Force for "doing a fantastic job".
"Their professionalism and skill is notable and the humanity with which they treat migrants is genuinely impressive," he said.
The committee was also told many migrants are forced on to small boats and some who arrive in England "don't even want to come to the UK".
Mr O'Mahoney said: "We hear a lot of stories about migrants who are literally forced on to boats, have no idea where they are when they get to the UK, because the facilitators don't get paid until they've done that last leg of the journey."
****, Mr MahoneyBaloney. Your story is just *****. Those people have paid thousands of Dollars/Euros to travel from their shithole to the UK and many have risked their lives. Many have been waylaid along the way in North Africa and have been forced into slavery, often for months They wait days/weeks/months on the bad side of the Channel for a chance to migrate illegally across the Channel to Britain. They know damn well where they want to go.
