What hope do mere bairns have in a dissolute and amoral/immoral world...

We are here to protect and instill the virtues of morality etc. in our children but how can we do it in this kind of nether hell of weakness, moral turpitude, cowardice and distasteful self-indulgence...

I have made many mistakes in my life and I don't want to take on airs but I have always known right from wrong and when I have lied, or done bad, I have died from shame for it because I could hear either my mother or father in my conscience berating me for it, but better yet, I heard in my own basic human conscience that I had traduced that sense of right and wrong. We live in evil times when even the best and most educated and privileged can't feel these decent primal human impulses...

I suppose Andrew has finally pushed this Prince Regent one step up (or down) in the Royal ladder of perfidy on the road to perdition in political times not too much different to those we endure and suffer today ... ;)))

This young lady was 'forced' to let Andrew pump her?

How?

Was she raped? Or was it something like, 'here's some money, drop your knickers, you're pumping royalty tonight'.

I doubt there was any violence or real coercion here, she was probably delighted at the time.

Andrew has shown himself to be sleazy, the girl to be a tart. Epstein to be a perv, but at least he has paid.

I don't think anyone else will will be spending time at Her Majesty's pleasure.....

... females (in this instance) who allow themselves into the environment that surrounded Epstein where favours may be expected in return for lavish living, isn't there a degree of responsibility for their plight? ...
What pressure was brought to bear on her to be 'forced' to have sex with the subject? -
Isn't there a word for it - grooming?

It could be understandable (maybe) why the men were fascinated by the 'extraordinary social charm' of Epstein, and convenient places to stay, as the prince put it in the interview, but him telling he doesn't regret it because it was useful and there was a lot to learn for him... well, and all this even after quite some time to get one's answers acceptable. Dunno. Incredible.

What would qualify as 'real coercion', I wonder? In general, not just about this case.

Gobbers.
Two daughters and a sister.

Ok. Let's split the blame. As a percentage is the pervy prince 100% guilty and she 0%?

Just saying. Without knowing everything, it's impossible to say, and I don't know how she found herself in this situation. She MAY have been trafficked, or even kidnapped- or maybe she was groomed, or maybe she was willing?

She certainly has a big grin on her face in that famous pic.

Just watched that clip. It looked extremely creditable in both senses. It appears she did not set out to blow the whistle. It seems Maxwell and Epstein contacted her before the FBI called her.

AIUI, she became employed at Trump's Mar-a-Lago from whence she was recruited to pleasure Epstein.

You cannot be 'recruited' to do anything, without letting yourself be.

If she decided to hang out with Epstein, it was probably because it suited her to do so.

I certainly don't blame young Victoria.

If I could swap my life as a low grade worker at a hotel, for a jet-set lifestyle, hobnobbing with the rich and famous, and pay for it all with my reproductive organs....I'd go for it in a flash.

I'm all for equality, but the above doesn't seem to work for me... :-(

Is Balmoral closed up until next summer?

A 3 to 4 months detachment up there might cool his wotsit.

May be a "retreat" to Rockall might be beneficial for a few weeks.

The Telegraph no longer sports the mourning band above its masthead but the main headline is in black and a smug photo of HRH below.

Someone should ask her whether she was psychologically or physically cooerced or whether she acquiesced in the Royal Bonking. Preferably while strapped to a lie detector. Yes, coercion, he gets prosecuted. No, voluntary participation in Royal Rodgering, she is told to go away and shut up.

Doesn't change my opinion of Andrew but does change his status as guilty party.

I think that we have enough faith in the Establishment and legal process to know that he will never be found guilty of anything. In this country that is, if the FBI get their mitts on him it may be a different story, remember, America First.
However, there may still be a dwindling number of people who believe in fairy tales and the Royal Family, this goes to show that they are just as seedy and despicable as any other family, worse in fact if we consider their privileges.
They have wealth and privilege, they are just expected to behave with decorum and set an example, but one after another they blow it due to bad behaviour, I might start agreeing with Corbyn on this I'm afraid.
