That settles it then, always carry my furled umbrella or walking stick, it's 4 feet long. Both metal tipped. 😁

You never know when an angry Muslim is going to have a go at you. The toll, on you, the grief of your family will be glossed over, but your pain will be eternal. All violence is evil, but violence inflicted on innocents going about their daily activities is especially cruel. How can one believe in a religion that promotes this?

And whilst you're at it, remember to always carry your own bomb on board when flying. Safest way to travel as there is no recorded incident of there ever being two bombs on board any aircraft.

You just have to persuade the TSA.( or similar.)

BT a belief in a religion is not a simple think. Back in 1453 when Constantinople was about to change its name in a violent way the Muslim conqueror promised the famous virgins and rice after death and it was efficient. People under the right circumstances can believe in anything.
I said before that Muslims more or less hate our way of life so attacks tend to happen (with the notable exemption the Metro Station in Brussels) when the infidels have a fun (a concert, a soccer game, shopping). Maybe it is time to let a bit more policing in our life. In Athens during the 2004 there were much more police around even the anti-riot squad but it was done in such a way it was not cumbersome.
ExSp33db1rd I still love this joke but unfortunately it is not for mass - consumption.

A friend saw, last night, the white truck/artic seen skewed across the road after the London Bridge attack, being taken away on a low-loader, with police on motorbikes escorting it, blue flashers on. Yet it hasn't been mentioned by the media. Anyone any ideas ?

There appears to be an eyewitness report about the truck in this article in The Times, but it's behind a paywall. Maybe you have access.

A little awkward for the Mayor of London with one of his 'brothers' involved here!

Apart from the obvious question - why was the judge's verdict ignored - how did someone get into a Conference on Criminal Rehabilitation armed with knives?

Reports say that one of the public that attacked the terrorist was himself a convicted murderer on day release and at the conference! A slight levelling of the scales, methinks?

Should get him a few Brownie points with the parole board.
As a consequence, one has mixed feelings about releasing him.

Boac, the Mayor did manage to blame the Tories for this attack, apparently the particular bit of the law that allows us to lock them up and throw away the key was removed, Khan blames the Tories but I understand that the EU did not permit us to do this. Not that any mainstream broadcaster will mention this of course.
We are not able to take the obvious measures that will remove this threat, so it looks like we will just have to put up with it. Liberal lefties are upset that the police shot the attacker, oblivious of the fact that the Police have a difficult job and deserve the odd perk.

I don't have all the facts, as this story is still unfolding, but isn't it just common sense, whether you're a policeman in UK or maybe a private citizen with a firearm in the US, to shoot to kill a man in the obvious process of stabbing and killing innocent people? If the attacker is left dead and his nefarious mission interrupted, how can that be construed as anything but good?

I also have a problem that the perpetrator had been convicted of previous terrorism, yet here he was, back out on the street, his killer instinct intact. It would be nice if our justice systems would be capable of assuring us that once a criminal commits a vicious crime with cruel intent he is locked up and the key thrown away? We'd all be safer. If he manages to kill people, his life should be quickly extinguished, but that's another argument.

Any links to the above or just more made up stories from one of Nigel’s disciples?

The published timelines of the events are confusing but anyone exposing an explosive vest dies which, as one of the articles points out, may have been the attackers intention.

Try listening to LBC, one caller earlier today was really getting stuck in to the fact that we were locking them up instead of trying to rehabilitate them. However, it must be said that if policies pursued by Nigel had been incorporated into our laws this sort of incident may be reduced, as it is this could happen again next week, and again the week after, nothing we can do about it now, they are all here.

On Radio 4 Any Answers this afternoon one caller expressed concern about an apparent shoot to kill policy that the Met Police may have.

In my opinion if you wear a suicide vest, whether real or fake, you are not going home tonight.

I haven't seen anything reported of words from Mr. J Corbyn.

Or have I missed something.
