Wrong-Daily managed to scupper her chances this evening on MSM
- yup- saw that and started measuring up for the coffin. What a buffoon.

Not only has Rebecca Long Bailey displayed complete ignorance of what is going on around her, she has an excruciating accent and unattractive legs. In fact there isn't, as far as I can see, a decent looker amongst any of the labour wimmen, perhaps that is why they are so strident and unappealing.

Clive Lewis has just been on the Victoria Derbyshire show staking his claim to the leadership. When asked about authorising the use of the nuclear deterrent, he gave the Jeremy answer "I cannot conceive any occasion when that would be necessary". He went on about his opposition to the use of the nuclear deterrent and then added that he agreed with Stormzy's (who??) claim that we are all racist. He should withdraw from the contest right now to save him any further embarrassment - a truly dreadful performance.

If the Labour Party Leader candidates were capable of original thought, sensible opinions or practical conclusions they won't be in the current Labour Party.
You can't judge them as normal people, they are what they are and it is a waste of news coverage to follow their stupidity. I posted a link on another thread to an article written by that mad lunatic woman in the Guardian, it is pretty unbelievable that they believe their own nonsense, but they do, best just leave them to it. Don't expect a new Labour Leader that is any more competent or trustworthy than Corbyn, it isn't going to happen.

"Don't expect a new Labour Leader that is any more competent or trustworthy than Corbyn, it isn't going to happen." Echoes of what the Tories said in April 1997? You just never know.

Brexit thread posting # 4978 will show how well future effective opposition is shaping up, or not.

They could stretch credulity and co-operate with another party to form an opposition? After all, following GE 2010 they were actually in coalition government IIRC?

Just watched Andrew Neil. He has a new target set, filleting Labour leader contenders. Tonight the Tories are too right wing, racists and anti EU. Labour must move nearer the Left and closer to the EU. AN could not belief ute; move away from your supporters.

Potential candidate Emily Fourbellies currently on Marr trying to promote her "working class" background - brother a builder sister a bus driver - whilst conveniently failing to mention her champagne socialist lifestyle - pass me the sick bag!! ...and saying Harry spent twenty years on the front line in Afghanistan just shows she can't get a grip of facts.

She certainly wasn't given a hard time by Marr, looks like a harder time getting MP support.

Despite her faux confidence this morning, I think she is going to "miss the cut" as they say in golfing circles.

On SKY just now, Mrs Wrong-Daily shown as being in the lead with 48%, I think it was. Jolly good ! We need a totally unconvincing mendacious person who rates Corbyn highly to lead Labour. Boffo Johnson will rip her to shreds over the high altar (and probably offer to slip her a length in the House common room afterwards.)

Worth £25 to be able to sign up the biggest idiot possible ! Anyone who rates Corbyn 10/10 would be an excellent choice, although for the comedy value I'd have preferred Diane Abbot.

IF I were a Labour Party member AND I wanted Labour to have a chance in the next ten years, I would vote for Lisa Nandy.
