Labour leader.
Labour leader.
Let the Labour leadership battle commence.
Suggestions please as to which candidate would be best for Labour - and which to continue Jeremy's theme.

Re: Labour leader.
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce the next Leader of the Labour Party!
Re: Labour leader.
Its dogma, they think that it has to be a women regardless of ability, experience or electability, they are thick enough to choose one of the current batch of leftie useless articles that have been hanging around Corbyn. Who cares, the labour party are an irrelevance now until such time as they ditch momentum, and I can't see that happening.
Over on TOP K&C recommends Angela Raynor due to her life experience, she left school at 16 with no qualifications and pregnant, worked as a care assistant before joining the labour party, this is the best that they can come up with. They don't realise what has just happened to them, and have no idea what to do next, thank goodness.

Re: Labour leader.
Given that they have destroyed their credibility, why don't they just fade into obscurity or run off a cliff like the lemmings they are. The concept of them having a 'leader' is pointless. Does a flock of sheep have a leader or do they just blunder along aimlessly?
I did hear a couple of shrill northern women postulating this morning about why they should be the next 'leader' of the Labour party, but I have no idea what they said.
Dianne Abbott?
Stupid, repulsive, black, illiterate, innumerate, illogical and incoherent.
Possibly not a lesbian as she is rumoured to have shagged Corbin the dustman, but I suppose there is no perfect candidate for such an esteemed position.

Re: Labour leader.
I'm backing Jumbo Thornberry.
She's perfectly qualified, although being a lesbian would probably enhance her chances.
A woman.
Repulsive.
Thick skinned and thick headed.
Inured to reality.
A **** idiot.
Wrong on every single thing she says.
I don't see how she could fail?

OM15 +1
They will pick a woman, but they will pick a figurehead and Momentum will continue to run it behind the scenes. They have to pick a woman as figurehead, as none of their women MPs are leaders. Next time they lose, they will be yelling that we are all sexist, racist, nazi, ignorant baby-murderers, instead of just the racist, nazi, ignorant baby-murderers we are now.
Take a look at the field they have to choose from on the Opposition Front Bench. None of them has been pushed into the media spotlight - they were all hidden during this election. They all have hypocritical baggage. None of them can count. None of them knows the first thing about Defence or Foreign Affairs; neither did Blair, and look how that turned out.

Re: Labour leader.
I note that neither Corbyn or McDonnell have said they are retiring completely from politics. In fact, on the Marr Programme, McDonnell said he would remain on Labour's NEC and be involved as a constituency MP thus still hanging on to the ability to force his contaminated views onto the Labour Party, including selection of the new leader. That would mean ensuring any new leader would be moulded to conform with the project he and Corbyn so epitomised.
If anyone thought the election result was the end for the extremist plans of Corbyn, McDonnell, Lansman and Momentum et al, just remember the words of Corbyn's close mate Gerry Adams - "They haven't gone away you know"- and they won't until the Labour Party as a whole, slings them (and their supporters) out and severs all links.

Re: Labour leader.
I don't see a way back for the Labour Party, nor for the Democrats in the USA. They have a much smaller base of classic working class to recruit from. It's the marxists who have the time and the money to drive the agenda. They are going to continue going further left in policy. Their path to government remains getting enough people dependent on government that they will vote to keep their benefits/government jobs. They'll import as many immigrants as it takes to do that.

Capetonian, some men think they can shag a lesbian into heterosexuality, so mark that as a possible. That she has a man eating son should surely add cannibalism as a positive too.

Re: Labour leader.
As Fox says, this is the end of the Labour party for the foreseeable future. Do any of these potential candidates have any qualifications? I haven't looked. Corbyn's maximum achievement academically is two A'Levels of grade E. A bit different to our recent Tory leaders. They are all a bunch of, as Mrs Ex-Accot says, NOCDs (Not our class darling). Thick commoners.

Re: Labour leader.
The harder part here is for the Labour to understand why they really lost and not for blaming people for not voting for them because they didn't appreciate their ideas - like the left did in Greece.
