Also, wonder how many Jihadi's (?) Trump just signed up with this move?

Re: Head of Iran's Quds Force Killed at Baghdad Airport
I found Jeff Taylor’s latest YouTube 15 minutes on this topic (Qasem Soleimanii attack question) informative. Saved me sifting through hours of sludge from MSM in an attempt to get food for thought.

Indeed - an interesting blogger, but as only a Town Councillor in a small Dorset town I have to ask what relevance does he claim........? I wonder who is funding him.

If you are looking for a hotel room, I'd avoid the ones with Trump in their names.

Surprisingly intelligent threat.

No problem for me - I wouldn't want to sleep in a bed that has been pissed on by a Russian prostitute

Re: Head of Iran's Quds Force Killed at Baghdad Airport
This is a list of the World's top oil producers and the numbers show why we can't simply let the Middle East take care of itself if we want our economies to continue to function. Roughly one third of world oil production is from the Middle East, roughly another one third of it is produced by nations that have no ability or great need to export because they use pretty much all of their production internally and the US and China are in fact oil importers.
Under normal conditions it can be argued that the oil will continue to flow whatever happens in the Middle East but this ignores the fact that if a fanatical supra-authority such as Islam should control the key Islamic oil producing countries a total cessation in oil sales to western countries could be engineered to bring them to their knees and I would think this was one of Sulameini's plans. Very simple, under our present energy usage systems we cannot afford to lose competition in oil production.
Now, I happen to think very strongly that if we had invested more seriously in energy production options the vast amount of money that it would have cost would have been repaid by not getting involved in stupidly expensive conflicts and we really could let the Middle East sink back into the sands and feudalism.
- World Production 80,622,000
01 USA[6] 15,043,000
02 Saudi Arabia (OPEC) 12,000,000
03 Russia 10,800,000
04 Iraq (OPEC) 4,451,516
05 Iran (OPEC) 3,990,956
06 China 3,980,650
07 Canada 3,662,694
08 United Arab Emirates (OPEC) 3,106,077
09 Kuwait (OPEC) 2,923,825
.

Re: Head of Iran's Quds Force Killed at Baghdad Airport
The basic problem is that nations need a long term nationally-sourced plan for critical commodities and utilities. However, large corporations want to spend money wherever they like, politicians only care about short term plans, and all the socialists want to destroy the very concept of nationhood.
I was ranting on about this over 20 years ago with nuclear engineeering in the UK, when I was fortunate enough to have been asked for my opinion by the President of the Civil Engineers. A third of UK physics teachers wanted to teach Maths as a secondary subject, but despite the DfE claiming it was possible, in fact not a single PGCE provider ran such a course. Thus vast numbers of kids in the UK, probably over half, have a 'physics' teacher who knows nothing about nuclear power and research shows avoids the topic like the plague. Furthermore, the Government got rid of all the design engineers because no new station was due for design in the next 5 years, and the Universities dropped to only two courses offering it as a secondary topic, with none as primary. He agreed with me, and told me the Government had been told this many times.
Now the UK has to get China and France to build its nuclear power stations, at a cost that makes keeping a cadre of nuclear engineers in being look like the chickenfeed it always was.

You can't be serious, Fox.
Or the history really repeats itself - after all, mightier empires/civilizations have become 'soft' and disappeared?
Must have been people getting too lazy to know anything of relevance.

C1980, I had a Nuclear Engineer of some sort as a neighbour. He was made redundant. He never worked again. He couldn't find employment in the UK. He had job offers from Canada but his wife declined to 'leave home'.Fox3WheresMyBanana wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 5:35 pmThe basic problem is that nations need a long term nationally-sourced plan for critical commodities and utilities. Wish I was joking Probes, but as you can see from Ian16th's story, I'm not.
Furthermore, Governments not only deny the situation is a problem, but want more of what doesn't work.
Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire has much the same sort of tale to tell.

In the early 1980s I worked (in Denmark) with a 'chemist' who had previously worked at Dounreay.

Trump is upset!
He just saw pictures of Soleimani's funeral. There were more people there than at his inauguration!

Re: Head of Iran's Quds Force Killed at Baghdad Airport
And yet President Trump's inauguration has had so much more consequence.
Re: Head of Iran's Quds Force Killed at Baghdad Airport
How many new enemies has Trump made with this killing? Not many, as Iran has been waging war against the US since Khomeini's return from France and the frantic wailing/threats etc. from Tehran was only to be expected. I expect the Germans would have reacted this way if Hitler had been assassinated - dare to not attend the demo and you'll be a marked man. The man had the death of thousands on his hands so I suspect the Sunnis and non-Shia sects will be having some quiet celebrations. I'm not a Trump/Saudi etc fan but I see nothing to be upset about over this man's death - apart from those who may suffer from the certain retaliation - most probably innocent civilians who will be murdered like the Lockerbie casualties. If it has achieved anything it is showing Iran that it cannot continue with its past behaviour without consequences and I can't believe that the normal people of Iran who have been so brutally repressed by the regime don't feel a little less isolated now.

By the way, I just discovered that Google Earth Pro (free download) contains a simple flight simulator. You can tootle up and down the Gulf or elsewhere at a couple of thousand feet (or a couple of hundred if you are so inclined) and get great high resolution views of the passing countryside. Applies to almost everywhere in the World. I wish we had had something like this when we were doing target study.

True boing. I used it to investigate nearby safer valleys that me and the 10yo capt can use for high speed* zotting around at 10ft in the Cub. ‘Twas far less spensive (but less fun) than going out there and dry running it myself.
* to convert speed to height and land in a paddock in case the donk quat.
