I read the application for house sitters out loud to my wife. Half way through she burst out laughing and i.d.'d the author. Brilliant bit of work.

Wasn't Harry a Captain? Though he might be the honoury Colonel of a regiment or two.
On 19 December 2017 he succeeded his grandfather Prince Philip as the Captain General of the Royal Marines.
In May 2018, he was promoted to the substantive ranks of Lieutenant Commander of the Royal Navy, Major of the British Army and Squadron Leader of the Royal Air Force.
I suppose those Bootnecks will claim that Captain General of the Royal Marines is senior to an Hon Colonel!

How does one get promoted after getting demobbed? It didn't happen to me!

Will he now be relegated to the retired list?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quit royal life COMPLETELY: Couple drop HRH titles, will REPAY £2.4m spent on Frogmore Cottage and won't receive any more taxpayers' cash as Queen says they remain 'much loved family members'
Good, now can they please piss off to obscurity so we don't have to keep hearing and reading about them. Then, the media might contain some news.

Does their P45 get handed to them or is it sent through the post?

Piers Morgan this morning:
Bottom line: Meghan/Harry wanted to have their cake and eat it, but the Queen just took the cake back to the royal kitchens.'
And, no Cape they are not eligible to house sit cos they have a brat. As you know they usually stay just down river at Meno a Kwena. Originally used by croc hunters. We could send her croc hunting.

Good so that is that. Presumably as they are no longer Royal they can settle in Canada. I trust that they are going to drop the SussexRoyal brand.

Interesting to see what happens about security.

Seems that he loses all his honorary ranks.

Cape, do you honestly think that she will 'piss of into obscurity'. She will be in the newspapers every day or twittering, twatering whatever it is.

I guess Harry will have to apply for an ESTA every two years to attach to his UK passport to accompany his wife to the USA, just like me ? Until of course he gets a Green Card and maybe Permanent Residency If not why not ? After all, he is a Foreign Alien in the eyes of the TSA and Imm. Dept. now.

I wish, once again, that the media would behave.

Now we have so called "Royal" experts interpreting what the Queen has agreed and reading utter nonsence between the lines.

What a load of tosh.

There are probably only 4/5 people who know the truth and they are not going to speak on the matter.

Some of the papers should be ashamed of their headlines today. Very few cannot be classed as "gutter press" on this.

I do think HMQ and the 'team' have done a good job in very difficult circumstances. Hats off to ma'am!

In the eyes of the Imm Dept, is Harry squeaky clean?

On previous visits would he have travelled On a standard passport or had a Royal/Diplomatic one? Or even, as I had until I retired, a travel order?

That's what I thought - now one understands why the Queen is the Queen.
Or what diplomacy is.

However, on their website:

Update: 18th of January 2020

In line with the statement by Her Majesty The Queen, information on the roles and work of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be updated on this website in due course. We appreciate your patience and invite you to explore the site to see the current works of Their Royal Highnesses.

The Queen has conducted an impressive piece of management with this, the happy couple can go forward to lead a tacky and pointless existence earning loads of money, we the tax payer do not have to make contributions to support them, and an impending source of national embarrassment in pretending that the aging and divorced negress is part of Great Britain has been removed.
Pity the Queen is not MD of Flybe.

Heard this morning on the radio: "such a pity her Majesty was not asked to be in charge of Brexit, organising it would have taken weeks, not years..."

According to today's 'Mirror' she will now be in the sights of the Chump as she has criticised him in the past. Oh what fun she is going to have.

And to avoid fake news, I think we have seen enough of the bachelor Prince partying to give the Immigration Department pause for thought.
