Pinky - you might get a reply but the worry would be you would not be able to hear it?

Would she be surprised or merely smile?

At $20 a pop that's the first million to simply cover the fee. How much profit per book, $10? allowing for shipping, handling, store margin etc? That needs another million. Need to shift well North of 4 million to turn a decent profit.

Tony Blair, sold 349,901.
John Major 91,513 sales,
Cameron on 63,513.
Gordon Brown sold 28,298.
President Barack Obama, sold 755,000.

First week sales were
Tony Blair clocked up 92,060;
David Cameron, 20,792;
John Major, 5,415
Gordon Brown 3,309.

Obviously dreaming to match his mother's record of 7 million.

OK, that interview drew an audience of 17 million but if course no direct cost to viewers. Even 17 million readers would not translate to 17 million book sales.

Interesting you should say that, Boac. :-?

For a long time now I have had the vague idea that should I ever be privileged and lucky enough to meet HM the Queen, I would somewhat cheekily ask her if there have ever been times that she wished that she possessed the executive powers of long past Monarchs and that she could just point to some troublemaker and say something like "...to the tower with this annoying individual and off with his/her head!" :ymdevil:

Of course I would not expect a reply! :D

Every time you think that they have really done it this time they come up with something even worse.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... -died.html

They will do their best to ruin HMQ's Platinum Jubilee by releasing outrageous extracts from his her book throughout the year. Now they say that they are going to write a book that will only be released after HMQ has passed away. So what are they going to say? What is HMQ going to think about that? What are they going to say about me when I am dead? How cruel can they be. And, we know exactly who is behind all this trying to discredit the Royal Family.

She is going to write a book about 'Wellness'. What the f..k does she know about it. Stupid American term anyway. ~X(

Omertà - also applicable to ones colleagues in the brotherhood of the Services. When it is broken then it releases others from the unwritten bond too.

It is one reason why Paul Burrell is held in such regard. Compare this with Captains Philips and Hewitt and Gp Capt Townshend before that and those who worked with the various Princes.

Harry must bear that in mind when he spills the beans.

Very well made point PN. Bet my pension Nutmeg has never heard of the word let alone be prepared to stick to the principle. Ginge is just following orders.

What the new chums of a certain couple have been up to:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/arti ... burgh.html

I'm sure the couple in question will be extremely upset about the latest insult to his family. If the Duke had still been alive they would have released it and the kids portrayed as smart arsed little sh*ts - it's all beneath contempt. I expect the California 'exiles' will also be similarly insulted - not. :ymsick:

Why are Harry and Megain so quiet about this cartoon? If they spoke out they risk losing money and some of her woke fanbase - that's why!

They would have every right to be upset at the way they are portrayed:

See that Nutmeg is throwing a 40th birthday party for herself tomorrow the same day as Mr Obama is chucking his 60th. She was obviously not invited.

How can you two possibly continually ready Page Six of your favourite paper aloud to eachother above the sound of proper bonking on the riverside, without getting horny?

Or does that get bit written out every day?

From the Mail Online:
How Harry - who is on parental leave - is planning to spoil his wife on her special day is not known,
Parental leave???? From what job?

Will they have Lil' Bet and Arche with them or have they managed to find a babysitter (sworn to the Official Secrets Act)?

Maybe her mother won't let her attend Meghan's party.

They just can't keep quiet even on breeding leave. This is pathetic. Right down to photographs of the family and a cup of tea and a biscuit. Not a mug of coffee and a Big Mac?
