FFS
Archewell, derived from the Greek word arche, meaning “sources of action”, was the inspiration for the name of their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, the couple have revealed.
What a load of bollocks. Just an excuse for her to call their new foundation after Archie. I bet their Yank advisors have spent months trying to find something. Come on, neither of these 'erberts have much of a grounding in ancient Greek, neither has the average American. If the above was the case why didn't they state this when they announced his name a year ago?

Because they had ticked the 'No publicity' box.

Thought Archie was named after a mentor of Harry's who was in the military with him in Afghanistan and had a big influence on his life, assume military is a bad word for the Megbird........

Harry's parents made bad choices when they picked eachother.

Charles is innocent of that matter, clearly.

Insofar as Charles was always going to be the father, the choice of mother was arbitrary.

I have often wondered (as a child) what difference there would be if one of a couple was changed for another.

I'm unconvinced that Charles was going to be the father of any child after William.

Any visible family resemblance between Charles and Harry is nil. For a very obvious reason.

Not good news then :)

....her beloved cat Archie, who ended up fat after being constantly fed frozen grapes.

I wish Slash were here to tell us a couple of stories about cats. THE cat, that is.

Replacement for Sussexroyal web site is snitched.

This would never have happened if they were still members of the Royal Family with Royal advisers. Not that she ever listened to them anyway or they left before being able to give advice.

So Nutmeg and Ginge announce their new foundation in the middle of a world Pandemic with our PM seriously ill in hospital. Extremely and highly criticised bad taste and timing. Their American team after months of research manage to discover that Arche in ancient Greek means; 'sources of action' and this is why they called their son Archie. They didn't announce this at the time It was though he was named after her late cat or a colleague of his in the army which is most likely.

So the Archewell Foundation is launched but before they registered the web site: www.archewellfoundation.com So, someone steps in and snaps it up =)) =))

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/arti ... igger.html

Oh dear, never mind. Back to the drawing board. American advisers are now trying to find an ancient language meaning of the name 'Megan'. So far they have looked at Raetic. Elamite, Hurrian, Vinca, Sicel, Ainu, Sumerian, Basque, Etruscan and North Picene, but with no joy. They have, found some interesting meanings but totally unsuitable for the purpose :-o B-)

According to a report in the Oz media, someone in the US got to the Archwell web name before Megan and if you click on it assuming that you that you will learn about the charity you just hear some bird singing "GoldDigger".....

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have told the British tabloid press that they are ceasing all co-operation because of "distorted, false or invasive" stories, it has been reported.

The couple sent a letter to the editors of The Sun, the Daily Mail, the Daily Express and the Daily Mirror in which they said they will not "offer themselves up as currency for an economy of click bait and distortion", according to the BBC
.Ironic, to say the least.
