According to Jeff Taylor YouTube Latest, the website was set up as far back as July, so the plotting for this might have lasted longer.
There are ways of putting in your notice and I don’t think this was a suitable way to break for freedom and (not quite) independence.

For all the stuff on here and elsewhere about her being pushy and controlling him, I suspect he's the one driving it because he can see all the negative stuff being directed at her and wants to protect her so she doesn't end up like his mother.

Talking of media control - a whole 30 minutes of news on BBC1 and no mention of anything royal (or stepped back royal).

I don't know where the 'negative press stuff' comes from. When they got engaged the country was delighted. They loved Harry who was a man's man and had followed risky pursuits as far as he was allowed, clowned about, got drunk frequently, romanced some great looking girls (who withdrew as they knew very well what royal life entailed) and then along came Meghan who seems to have seen herself as some sort of Disneyfied saviour of the 'Firm'. William had married a girl whose grandfather was a coalminer and now Harry was marrying a 'person of colour'.

Everyone was delighted and she seemed to be just what was needed for him - the wedding was a real cause of happiness - especially for his legions of admirers. Then she turned him into a virtue signalling, p*ssy whipped fool and this is the consequence. I say no 'HRH' as they can't be half royals and trade on it, limited beer money from the Duchy and nothing from the civil list. They can then experience an 'authentic experience' of life in California or woke Canada without the support of the British public.

They almost redeemed themselves on the African trip and then gave the pathetic whining victims interview and ruined it all again. Maybe her father could pitch in and help, with a spare room or two, or her sister or, come to think of it there's just her mother left who hasn't been ditched in her social climb. Their treatment of the Queen and the rest of the family has been a disgrace.

Everyone? All 60 million people in the country?
Really?

I don't think you could deny there was a lot of support and, dare I say happiness, about the wedding, apart from a smaller number of people who may have had second sight and foreseen what would happen. There was certainly no criticism in the press, tabloid especially. I don't think you should take 'everyone' quite so literally Cape. There was certainly more support than otherwise.

Come off it Capetonian, you're sounding more like a prat over in TOP 😁

Agree though, boring. For Charlie's wedding we had the day off ? so 3 of us fled the country in a day trip to Cherburg. On return to HMS Excellent we were delighted to splice the main brace.

And now the boy Clive Lewis, yet another Labour leader contender, hypes his offering to the electorate by proposing a referendum on the monarchy.

Whereas a quick glance of the headlines today revealed a negative tone to their reporting of 'the news'.

Yes - and I don't think the press is setting the agenda now G-TN. I think they are genuinely reflecting how many (not everyone) in the country feel(s) about the matter. To be fair, there are a few supportive articles, even in the 'right wing' papers.

Actually, that's worth watching from more 'angles' than one.

Perhaps in their case it could stand for "Half Royal Highness"?

I know that it is the DM but this is well written: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... NES-Megxit.

They should be stripped of their titles but it is unlikely. However it seems that any trademark with the name 'Royal' in it has to be approved by HMQ. At the least HMQ could refuse them to use the 'Sussex Royal' brand. 'Sussex Commoner' doesn't have the same ring to it.
