Make jokes about the Spanish Royal Family and you get shot. For burning a photograph of the King, twice.

EA01, I think English centric colours our views. The Belgian, Dutch and Spanish have all featured is the scandal sheets. Look up Lockheed bribes scandal. Look up Love Child Scandal. Look up King Juan.

..then there was the case of the Spanish Princess who was involved in some tax fraud (although I believe she was acquitted).

Yes PN, English centric probably does colour your view,...and I've no problem with that at all! I honestly do not.

How come though, the USA doesn't have a Royal Family for example? (It's occurred to me for a long time that the US is rather jealous not being a part of Royal 'the club')

This chap is considered Royalty, and has recently introduced 'Sharia' law upon his 'subjects', the 29th Sultan,...go back some way there!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hassanal_Bolkiah

This Royal thing perplexes me somewhat. Why, How & Who? Why is there a Royal family in Tonga but not Fiji? Thailand but not Vietnam? How was this 'Royal concept spread?

Did the English get the idea from the Far East? (Highly unlikely!) Did Egbert in 802 visit Japan and declare what a Grand idea is this Royal thing, or how did it get 'exported to the far East? Never took on in the Americas?

I think most cuntrys have a version of royalty, so called democracy is really just a few elites competing for their part time royal status so as to lord over the proles, be immune to prosecution and steal the cuntry's resources.
It is evolving now though, the Royal families of the new age will reside in secure domains...... the castle Amazon, the great Musk Palace and the island of Google
I hereby declare the U.S.A. a Pariah state.

They're saying if Biden gets in high asset residents could get hit with a 5 fold increase in world wide taxes. That'll make someone's eyes water.

The notion of a sprawling tribe of German inbred multi-billionaire godheads and demi-gods being super-arching over us yooman beans in Britain is an absurd anchronism in the 21st century

We should have got over that stuff half a millennium ago.

We almost did, but then the Jacobite Scots took over and that then led to the formation of the UK and to at least five dimensions of complexity which is vastly too difficult to explain to nationalistic simpletons today.

The stray ginger gene is actually irrelevant, as is the negress.

Why doesn't MI5 just take her out? G
I suspect, Ex-Ascot, that because no matter how the deed was done, that these days there would definitely be some Journo/Conspiracy theorist/whatever, who would immediately scream that she was murdered by the "British intelligence Services" and that some of the mud flung would stick! [-X Even if they were NOT responsible, there would be a sizable minority of People who would firmly believe that MI5/6 or whoever had dunnit!

So best not to even think about it, yes?
A bit late to the show but maybe the Secret Service can still use the standard argument: we would be the first suspect hence we had no reason to do it!

Who is the narrator on this 1:30 political exhortation? ?
or is that the way they all talk over there?

Prince Harry has admitted his upbringing made him unaware of unconscious racial bias, but that changed thanks to his relationship with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
What. Who fed him wit that crap? No prizes for the answer.

I see the case has been postponed until next October and their request, despite her father pleading that he might not be around by then. Don't suppose that would worry her much. :-bd

Perhaps Harry has worked out how he got her pregnant last time and repeated the procedure? :ymdevil:

Maybe his 'unconscious bias' came to him while day dreaming one day when he realised what she had done to his life! I see Julian Thompson has had a go at Harry now for abandoning the Corps in his quest for a 'meaningful' life.

Iran is vastly more advanced, socially, than the dark ages of a Murrica.

They had a femme Veep when the Murricanes thought that was unusual.

From The Sunday Times:
The Duke of Sussex was refused permission for a wreath to be laid at the Cenotaph on his behalf today, in the latest sign of the growing gulf between him and the royal family.

Prince Harry, who stepped down from royal duties in March, made the personal request to Buckingham Palace, but was denied by courtiers on the grounds that he is no longer representing the monarchy.

Mrs PN asked about their position in the States as the Crown's representatives of the Commonwealth. Is that true?

If we do want a representative, how about the VP-Elect; she has closer ties the Nutmeg.

I wonder if he gets the message that he's really not a part of that family.

I feel like puking. :ymsick: This is not 'private' at all! I wonder how many of the hated press were tipped off or did they just distribute their 'private' photos to any takers?

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-famil ... s-angeles/

A spokesman for the couple said it was important to them "to be able to personally recognise Remembrance in their own way".

Straight out of madam's mouth I suspect. Is that any different to anyone else's personal recognition of Remembrance?

Note to me, me, me - remember to put on my best sad and thoughtful persona.
