Hollywood in lock down.

Trumps revenge? 😷

Megxit day today. I wonder how they are getting on with social ostracism, sorry I meant isolation. Do they have separate bedrooms?

Seems that they are using a UK security team with ex-SAS personnel, presumably armed.
Does this not also present visa problems, especially if they are on permanent duties? If, as reported, they need 4 PPO per shift, would that be 8 or 12? And also allowing for off duty periods even more.
Very good point PN. Presumably rotated on visas.

I read a n annual cost, in the Telegraph I think, £8,000,000. That will make their eyes water. I don't know US tax rates but which ever way you cut ut, that's a lot of bread.

Would home grown private security act as bullet catchers for foreign Royalty? In fact, what makes Harry different from other minor European Royals?

A question:- Would a regular detachment of British security guards working in the US be taxed locally?

Nah, they would duck. But makes more sense though. Known well two PPOs who have taken the bullet but they were loyal to The Royal Family. How many private security guys have been shot in the US of A?

G-CPTN don't know.

In most cases, a foreign national is subject to federal withholding tax on U.S. source income at a standard flat rate of 30%. A reduced rate, including exemption, may apply if there is a tax treaty between the foreign national's country of residence and the United States.

Yes indeed but I notice their: https://sussexroyal.com/ site is still up.

Also security seems to be going to be from an American firm who looks after Hollywood stars. Well, are we surprised.

Amendment instructions: delete “HMRC”, insert “the UK taxpayers”. Complete the amendment record at the updating page.

And boy will the UK taxpayers have it inserted, thick end first and no KY jelly, due to austerity!

They should provide full security, Brigade of Guards, whatever, just require the the royal Prince moves within the golden circle rather than move the circle round him. Windsor estate would be a good start.

A devastating review in today's "Times" of Meghan Markle's documentary narration of Disney's "Elephant". Gave it two stars. Way to go......

Might still be cheaper than paying for him to perform royal duties. Added bonus of the pair of them being thousands of miles away, too.

Ought Trump not to impose lock down on all recent immigrants and returning nationals?

Found this:

They must pay!” It's rumoured that Prince Harry could be forced to give up his Duke of Sussex title should he become a US citizen. An A1 visa would enable Harry to apply for citizenship in the US. However, under US naturalisation laws, Harry would have to declare an Oath of Allegiance.2 days ago

Harry lose his seat? Was that why Archie did get a title?

UK TV this evening on Channel 5 @ 1900A will explain some of the background to the fiscal drain imposed by the royals.
Alas since QE2 flew back from Africa to be coronated, the numbers and tasking of flying the ever increasing tribe has escalated to silly numbers.
And Randy Andy didn’t escape comment on the tens of thousands Sterling flying him on one trip within the UK!
Watch and learn. Though I couldn’t understand why the item was frequently punctuated with clips of American manufactured executive jets manoeuvring as if they were transporting royals, but which have probably played a minor role in their travel?

That's what Harry's doing.
