Is anyone else getting uneasy about the rising success's of the Me As Well movement, I must admit that I don't especially feel any fondness for Harvey Weinstien, but it is a well known fact that aspiring film stars have to pass the casting couch test as part of their career, it has been like this since the days of Hitchcock.
Presumably he will now be sent down for ages and a fresh wave of allegations will be raised against any bloke in the film industry.
Much as it looks like good fun the impending trial of Alex Salmon seems to be a storm over nothing, a large amount of public money will be splurged on this farce, I just hope that juries are not pressurised by these high profile cases.
Certainly in the small villages in the nearby countryside where I live it is perfectly normal to pat a waitress on the bottom when she brings your beers over in the pub, she would be hugely offended if you didn't.

I watched the coven of C4 lady news presenters cover this story on the news last night.
Two things struck me, firstly, some of the potential claimants reached a "settlement" before the trial, so either they were untruthful and only complained as blackmail, or they were telling the truth but put money before justice, secondly, many of the charges were dismissed by the jury because they didn't believe the version of events put forward to them by the ladies involved.
Neither of these angles has been discussed by the main stream media in their haste to joyfully report on the two guilty verdicts.
Weinstein does not come out of this very well, and nor do the wimmen.

Me too! When I worked in CPT there were probably more women than men in the travel industry, and most of the fellows batted for the other side. I can recall at least two women who made determined efforts to get me and another 'straight' friend of mine into bed. I am wondering if I should now track them down and initiate proceedings against them.
The only thing that puts me off is the thought of seeing them now, 40+ years later ........ fatter and uglier .... no thanks.
