When I was at Uni in the 70s a friend and I royally pissed off the entire lefty brigade.

They published a student 'rag' railing against capitalism etc. A friend and I brought up the entire stock which had been laboriously printed on an Adana hand press, bar the few that had been sold, negotiated a discount for the bulk purchase, poured some petrol (2/6d a gallon in those days) over them and struck a match.

My son left Uni a couple of years ago and now that he earns a salary and pays taxes and social charges, suddenly sees that socialism is not such a great idea!
Burning books, a great way to suppress views you don't agree with........ another fascist favourite beloved of ***** like you the world over :-bd
I bet Capetonian, is whirling around in the ether, pissed off that he can't engage. Poor bugger! =))

As a student I was part of the publication of many rags, you know the sort, written by 20 and read by five. =))

When contemplating one's 'Welcome on Board' PA, just think - you might have this 'non-binary' on board

PS I'm not sure I want to 'see everything in between' =))

Correct, Woody but Bunter &Co are already well on the way to censoring us all in the UK.

There will be loadsa money to be made by the Tory friends in the construction industries by contracting to build the labour camps and indoctrination centres.

I gather these are already thinly disguised as the fantastic new prisons which have been promised, but the shortage of materials and labour for construction projects might just delay the inevitable gulags? :-?

Who would have believed that in the UK, under a Conservative guvvment, that it takes an individual who has suffered under this crap to start up such an organisation?

https://anchor.fm/the-tpa/episodes/Toby ... 12-e15qh6d

It is the sort of restrictive censorship one might have expected under a (New) Labour administration but it seems the Pig Dictator and his mates are in thrall to the BLM & ‘woke’ and PC brigades.

And I don’t accept it’s because they’ve been concentrating on the as yet non-isolated ‘virus’ with which they’ve wrecked the economy and many lives as the speech restriction rot had started long before the concept of bats shagging pangolins had been presented to ‘Homo sapiens’. ~X(

Seeing as how free speech has been literally stifled (by face nappies?) over the last coupla years, here is J Ps take on the topic.

The inmates are running the asylum and yes, they've also got the keys to the pharmacy;

One has to wonder are there any staff left to perform the useful task of indoctrinating, sorry, educating and enlightening the students who are being ripped of to the tune of $trillions by these "seats of learning"... [-X

The real shame in that sign is the grammatical error in the headline. And from a 'seat of learning' too.

It appears that good old Blighty, once the alleged initiator of modern democracy and free speech and all the other twaddle once sold to the peasant, has now become one of the leaders in suppressing those same ‘benefits’.

Toby Young appeared this week on “So What You’re Saying Is” from the New Culture Forum to be interviewed by Peter Whittle on lockdowns and free speech. As the Free Speech Union (FSU) marks its second anniversary, Toby says that recent victories notwithstanding, the wider war is being lost and England could wind up having Europe’s worst free speech protection. He also discusses the past two years under Covid and why he feels vindicated. Watch the interview here;

Gosh! It’s also on YouTube, so I wonder how long it will take them to notice this blasphemy and to take it down for the usual pathetic reasons.

Please warn any “snowflakes” in your vicinity to avoid this video and to immediately seek a safe space and appropriate counselling ASAP! =))

Don't know much about Mr Young but I thought i was a very powerful video. Why do you label it blasphemous?

'Cos he's not exactly sticking to what one might regard as "The party line", seeing as how he's been a very naughty boy and suffered as a result? :-?

I agree 1,000%, or whichever factor is being used this week by Imperial College London to maintain the hype and the fear and the panic!

It appears I employed an excess of sarcasm and irony in my comments which have distracted you, bo.

The fact that Y T has allowed a discussion on free speech to endure so long in it’s hallowed portals was a surprise to me, hence the reference to the video content being perceived as ‘blasphemous’ under their weird censorship criteria.

When one considers the number of censored videos of medical and statistical experts, not including ‘Pantsdown, which have been excised from the public space simply because they were casting doubt on the official narrative but using official guvvment figures, then I fear for the survivability of the Toby Young interview. Time will tell on that one. :-w

A matter of opinion upon which we will agree to disagree?

bo, you are displaying signs of your old syndrome adequately illustrated in your perennial and tiresome verbal war with Rainboe years ago in TOP, akin to a Jack Russel terrier with nothing else on it’s small mind other than the need to tear something, anything, to shreds by way of passing the time.
