I will say that although I generally support the LNP, I think Abbott needs to lift his game as PM.

I also think the Greens and Independents in the Senate need to stop blocking everything
just because it goes against the policies they have.

Regrettably, 500N, They will not do so. Don't you remember the various Greens party Senators saying that they 'had a mandate' to oppose all Liberal Party policies?

As for Tony Abbott; IMHO he needs to start acting more like a mongrel and less like a Gentleman. Think about that.

For further comment; Paging Worrals!

BTW 500N me old; You want to start pproone's Gun thread or shall I?

Well, well well, Julia Gillard has now decided to change here mind on Same Sex marriage,
2 years after she voted against it when she had the power to do something about it.

She is going to make quite a few people very unhappy !

G'day all. Don't post in here all that often but read most posts. I'll get Worralls over here I'm sure by posting something about trade union leaders being so focused on themselves and ignoring the workers. She and I have very different views on the value and place of trade unions, although similar views and we get along in other areas.

Evening all, sorry I'm late!
And thanks for the PM.
I could keep David happy and launch with a manifesto about foreign companies that retrench people by SMS, but that would be too predictable (and from what I've seen IRL even fairly conservative people would agree that it sucked).

Thanks for establishing the forum, Alison, I'm sure it took a lot of work. :D

Lovely to see you here, Worrals :D And yes, in our house we all shook our heads at that sacking action, and we totally agree it is abhorrent. Sucked is a gentle word. As I said "...similar views and we get along in other areas" :D

Glad to add you to the list. And of course we get along...
Nice to see you, SOPS.
500N, nice to see you too. I've missed your Shooters/Fishing Party faction POV; it's a very valid voice within Aus politics.
Has anyone contacted Cooda, rh200 and/or MTOW?

We're still a few adrift - Parabellum, Pontious Pilot, Tankertrashnav and radeng. But I think we are getting there. If you have contact with any others please do invite them along. Only six days since our inaugeration and 90 members already. Yeh.
