Did you really just refer to Bojo and gang as grown ups?

A simple yes would have sufficed

BBC : Coronavirus: No quarantine checks carried out on passengers arriving in Scotland

Effing unbelievable!! So no-one at Westminster or Holyrood noticed this for the FOUR weeks that returning quarantine has been in force. It's suddenly all been sorted but what about Wales and Northern Ireland?
Officials have carried out no quarantine checks on visitors arriving in Scotland from overseas, the Scottish health secretary has admitted. Jeane Freeman said they were unable to check whether passengers were sticking to the rules because they did not have access to passenger details. Staff in Scotland did not have security clearance to access the UK government's system containing details of arrivals.

Isn't Scotland part of the UK then? I must have missed the Independence announcement.

So all her bluster about quarantining any English visitors from across "the border" was just *****, baloney and hot air?

Imagine my surprise!

I guess the reason why the Snumptys of the Leith Numptorium were refused access to the grownups' computerised list was because they failed the smell test when applying for the necessary password.

Our regular driver said "it's over". Not so sure. Not in Catalunia it isn't, 200,000 back in lockdown.
Now Galicia is in lockdown too.

How long before it spreads to Costa LagerLout?

Jefferson believes that many viruses lie dormant throughout the globe and emerge when conditions are favourable. It also means they can vanish as quickly as they arrive.
That is exactly what the Chinks want us to believe.

But yesterday there was an article saying how it could have originated in a Chinese copper mine in 2012 with samples taken to Wuhan in 2016?

Q. What does lockdown do?

A. Makes the crisis last longer.

Q. Anything else?

A. Not really.

Yesterday, lunch at La Volte, shook hands with Eric and hugged his gorgeous wife Silvia. The proprietors. Know them well, they keep their distance from strangers at their restaurant. We are friends.

Tomorrow, invited to lunch by friends from one of the Benelux countries, that one that had the highest infection and death rates of anywhere. Just arrived back from Belgium. Lovely folk, drinkers, socialise a lot. We said sorry, but no.

That's what's called making an informed choice. Yer pays yer money and accepts the consequences.

They ought to fire the HMRC idiot who put out this information. Hopefully Sunak will stamp on it quickly. What nonsense!

From the HMRC part of the gov.uk website:
Coronavirus (COVID-19) tests

Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing kits or tests carried out by a third party which have been purchased by you to provide to your employees, are treated as a taxable benefit in kind on the employee.
What next - are toilet rolls provided in workplace toilets going to become a benefit in kind on the employee? X(

PPE is provided to an employee and replaced free of charge and an employee may claim tax rebate on any maintenance costs if, for instance, laundry is not covered. In many cases though where any soiling is potentially contaminated then laundry must be provided.

So where does that leave testing kit?

As part of his H&S plan to protect one employee from another the employer insists that each has a test. Simples, it is not a benefit but a condition of employment.

Karma is a bitch. I've just heard that the idiot president of Brazil has tested positive for CV19.
Since he believes the disease doesn't exist, I wonder how he caught it.
