Re: Coronabollocks..
I have the virus!
By which I mean I'm going to be on unplanned unpaid leave from 22 March.
I'm recovering from the shock in a five star hotel in Goa.
My Doctor is treating the Coronabollocks virus, for that is what I'm suffering from, using mainly Kingfisher beer, but apparently most types of alcohol are effective.

Re: Coronabollocks..
It could have been worse. Years ago in Spain we all had what became known as the Farting Flu. Everything one ate or drank turned into intestinal gas, and masses of it. For men this was no problem. Ladies however donned more clothes to try and muffle the sound. Karina at the gym passed out with the effort of trying not to pass wind. Only lasted two or three weeks, but for that time it was....noisy.

Result: lid up, seat down, loo not flushed. Mrs admitted she might have been guilt.

Re: Coronabollocks..
Avoid crowds, keep your distance from people in public places, don't panic! So what are the majority of Numptys doing? Yes panic shopping! And still they buy toilet rolls by the hundreds! And as these pictures show (apologies for the DM link) there are huge crowds of people doing exactly what they shouldn't be doing ie getting into close contact with other people/getting into crowds. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... inues.html
There is absolutely no point in the Government cancelling sports/concerts /races or anything for that matter as the British public are obviously refusing to take this virus seriously. The WHO is despairing of the Brits, and I don't envy Boris or the British Government trying to deal with this disease in an appropriate manner. It is serious and as a retired nurse, while I don't advocate overreaction, in this case I really do wish that people would take things more seriously and behave like adults. Siege shopping is stupid and selfish.
Rant over.

Friday night the London pubs were all packed with spillovers onto the pavement. We did our usual Waitrose Saturday Shop today and while crowded, nothing more than usual. Nothing like the media photographs!

Bollocks to Coronabollocks!
The virus isn't the problem, it's the pussy-like panic that's doing the damage.
Well done to the Brits for doing nothing, it's exactly what's required.
If only a few millions more would follow their excellent, panic free example.

Re: Coronabollocks..
Looking at the shelves in local supermarkets, the UK is anything but 'panic free'!! If only a few millions would STOP panicking......................

Re: Coronabollocks..
Telling people not to panic buy is self-defeating. If people think that the world is running out of bogroll or soap then it's only natural that people will go and get as big a pack as they can find. They can behave a bit like sheep.
Something similar happens when the petrol supply looks like it's going to be interrupted. There is vastly more tankage in the cars and vans on the road than there is in the tanks under the petrol station forecourts, so people top up their tank so as not be left standing when the game of musical chairs stops.

So who is responsible if the arrested person infects others, while under arrest?Mass gatherings WILL be banned from next weekend and police allowed to arrest coronavirus victims who break emergency rules.
The lawyers will have a field day.

eThekwini = Durban.eThekwini metro police will no longer be using breathalysers at roadblocks for fear of spreading coronavirus, according to a social media post by metro police head Steve Middleton.

Re: Coronabollocks..
About 2 weeks ago we made the decision to cancel our cruise to Italy. It was just question of waiting to see if the cruise company cancelled first. Monday they cancelled though Spain was still viable. In 5 days the sky has fallen in.
Where the politicians blind to what we had decided 2-3 weeks ago?

So will they be taking blood tests or will the apparently drunk Durban speed merchant be able to get clean away with it, without even offering a brown paper envelope?

Well, when they are considering releasing prisoners from crowded jails to avoid them contracting Corvid19 virus - all bets are off . . .

Ask for volunteers from the prison population to human test potential vaccines with time off for their participation in the trials...

Re: Coronabollocks..
Like most of us I have friends in many countries. I asked this morning whether anyone knew, by friends and family, of a person with the virus. No. Did anyone know of a death ? No. Did anyone know of anyone with symptoms ? No.
So let's ask OpsNormal ! Anyone ?

Re: Coronabollocks..
Drift across into the deadly world of www google and take a look at death statistics for ordinary ‘flu and then have a look at the death rate in the USA from firearms events and compare the figures? Might put some perspective on the doom & panic.
