Just watching news of young people being raided, just having people around for meal etc.
If they want to party, why not let them. Lock them in and keep them there, provide a daily issue of bread and bog rolls.

At least they are getting on with life and not cowering under the stairs like sheep.Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 9:23 amJust watching news of young people being raided, just having people around for meal etc.

WHO team travel to Wuhan to investigate origins of the pandemic. They meet health authorities who tell them Covid-19 didn't start there. WHO team respond "oh, that's all right then" and return to USA, problem resolved.

From the Telegraph
Looking at his picture I think would put anyone off. He does not look that well and it's even tempting fate should anything happen to him, a bus for instance within the next 28 days.I’m still standing
Sir Elton John appears in an NHS video reassuring people there is nothing to fear from vaccination.

Since I have a daughter and two grandchildren in Cape Town I didn't find that cartoon at all funny. (unhappiness directed towards the Telegraph and not UP).

Re: Coronabollocks..
Went to one of the pharmacies in town to collect some dental mouthwash. Passed the technical school, 14 and up, end of morning class. Hundreds of students leaving, none distancing, 50/50 masks.
BTW most pharmacies here have a list of on-the-spot tests they do, blood sugar, cholesterol, lots of things. €5 a test.

20,000 rugby supporters are booked for the Lions tour of ZA in June and July, it’s not been postponed yet, that could put the latest “ World Class “ solution under a bit of stress
Also TGG and I are booked in for some grape harvesting soon, problem being that we’ll drink twice as much as we pick
When all else fails, read the instructions.

He thinks he picked up the infection at Luton. He worked in the custody suite and thinks it's down to some of the locals having a reluctance to observe the distancing and masking-up rules.

Re: Coronabollocks..
Infections rising here so the ignorant might ask why the restrictions were eased last Monday. Answer is that there is the General Election on Sunday and Authorities want the public to feel good. Expect we'll be back to a clampdown next week.
Re: Coronabollocks..
Comforting indeed to see that the WHO team in China have (with the assistance of the Chinese authorities) pretty-well ruled out the involvement of China (in particular the Wuhan labs) in the spread of the virus and are suggesting that perhaps US labs should be looked at...............
How much have we contributed to that trip?

Re: Coronabollocks..
Weaseled though, they avoided saying 100%, incontrovertiblly, completely etc etc. And they were in China when they said it - no pressure.
Now logic dictates that if it is definitely not A it is somewhere between B and Z. Did they suggest where it might have started?
Did they explain why they had so few cases or deaths that they had to rapidly build hospitals and isolation places?

Re: Coronabollocks..
?? How about 'emphatically ruled out the lab'?Weaseled though,
As John Campbell said yesterday (trying ever so hard NOT to be political...) - they probably went into the labs (with the Chinese 'guides') and asked the staff if it could have been them that leaked the virus..............

Re: Coronabollocks..
As I said, they were IN China and expected to leave.
It is not conclusive proof that it was not from the lab.

Washington Post"China was the big winner," said Yanzhong Huang, a senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations. "We understand that they are doing their work within the parameters of the government. But you don't want to jump to a conclusion based on several hours of conversation with Chinese scientists."
World Health Organization officials declared Tuesday their mission to Wuhan to seek the origins of the coronavirus was inconclusive.
National PostChinese government that has long argued that the source was probably not its markets and certainly not its labs.
FTThe World Health Organization has ruled out a laboratory accident as the cause of the coronavirus pandemic, saying it was “extremely unlikely” that the pathogen leaked from a Chinese facility.
SkyThe World Health Organisation team in Wuhan investigating the origins of COVID-19 say they are getting data "which no one has seen before" and are "really getting somewhere" - and have not ruled out the possibility that the virus had escaped from a lab.

"We are in the market looking around on our own and asking questions, we are meeting with market managers, with vendors who worked there and people from the community and asking them questions.
"We are talking to people who collected samples from the floor of the market that then tested positive. That's the sort of information we are getting with the person that really matters."
It is not conclusive proof that it was not from the lab.

The feckwits here are planning to prohibit sales of alcohol from any source after 18.00 daily. They think this will lower the incidence of drinking in the streets, which they say helps the virus spread.
