Mr Dennis Howell minister of drought certainly was effective in his position!

Within 3 days of his appointment he’d waved his magic wand, the land was thoroughly wetted and he disappeared into obscurity.

Boac.
You correctly identify the root of my moniker.

As for the ill minister, as my chums at work used to say "I hope it's nothing trivial".

Every year that we have a bad flu ridden winter in the UK an extra 50-70,000 wrinklies take an early bath without a murmer from anybody.

Get my drift?🤧

He of the “crisis, what crisis!” infamous quote, though I believe that one was modified by the MSM?

China has finally coronised the world.

I've always hated the little bastards, now a 'few' more reasons to hate them.

Oh-oh.
It seems I've caught the virus!

My symptoms are that I've been advised to expect unpaid leave shortly....no cases at all here, but the fear-induced panic has forced the company to take unpleasant medicine....

It seems I must take some also.

Should the financial markets be suspended?

I think so. The falls are being led by far east sell-offs. The same people who brought us this beer flu.

It will have a huge impact on working parents (and grandparents!), especially if nursery schools close as well if/when it happens.

...and 827 people dying of it in Italy in 24 hours? Seems a rather tad more than the the seasonal flu in a single day?

is it the reporting or the suggestion that schools should be prepared for the forthcoming shut-down that annoys you?

Commons Sketch today from yesterday's parliament 'a mouse-infected Gothic bix , its Windows sealed shut, its air stale and stuffy, its benches crammed, everyone jammed in sweatily, thigh against thigh . . . all stroking their chins, fingering their lips, rubbing their noses '

Mrs PN, they don't have the intellect capacity as a bunch of peanuts.

I think they probably have the same DNA.

Maybe after the expenses scandals they should have been re-classified as a packet of Cashew nuts?
