Whatever, but our case numbers are far less than our European neighbours.
Depends what you mean by "our".

The criterion for adding/subtracting a country to the Q-list is 20 cases per 100,000 noses. Most Euro countries are below that level.

I straddle two counties, one of which has rate of 98 and the other 116. Weegieland is running at 260 and Lanarkshire, which has a border only a few miles from me, is over 380 cases per 100,000. A couple of weeks ago Nottingham was over 600!

I was thinking France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands. There of course many others but these are the ones we tend to visit most and are nearest

The voices protesting the current madness continue to shout, but alas are THEY in Drowning Street actually listening to anyone other than Pantsdown & cronies?

Brendan O’Neill and Julia Hartley-Brewer discuss the destructiveness of lockdown, the beheading of Samuel Paty and the racism of the woke left;

My better half's best friend in Welsh Wales has been laid low by the virus, she is not at all well, one week in bed and too fatigued and too ill to even do her makeup, let alone take a walk ...
Not surprised the BFF out west is experiencing symptoms of fatigue.

It was widely reported by various media that the MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip was laid low with the covid-19, and now he is unable to summon up the strength to comb his hair.

I know, I know. Sure sign of Covid. Too weak and disinterested for the daily wank. Ooh, what a giveaway.

I settled down shortly after 11pm then was awake from ten-past five until 5:30 before waking up this morning at 11:30.

At what stage are dreams formed?
Does the memory only recall the latest dream before waking?

A short account of some Brits who are definitely NOT hiding under the stairs waiting to die, excluded from a NHS hospital because they’re classed as too old to treat, as reported recently in an article clarifying the early Covid-1984 fatalities;

“Our hotel, picked at random from the tour company website, turned out to be largely filled with high-risk overweight Brits aged mainly 60 plus. Judging by their accents, I’d say most of them are Tier 2 and Tier 3 refugees who’ve clearly had enough of Covid misery. If they are going to die imminently as the tabloid apocalyptic-headline-competing members of SAGE keep telling us, they’re determined to expire in the sun, stuffed by the all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast and dinner. Loafing by the pool in 28 Celsius heat under a blazing sun, the sweat poured off them in rivulets. Three growing-old-disgracefully ladies in their late sixties went for a spot of topless sunbathing which must make quite a difference from the opportunities currently available in Liverpool or Cardiff.”

The full article is available in: https://lockdownsceptics.org/postcard-from-rhodes/

The Northern Research Group of Tory MPs’ letter just published must indicate to BoJo & Co that it’s not just students and bolshy gruff Northerners and Essex ravers who’ve had enough of this farce. So when are they going to acknowledge they are losing control of the populace and by implication, what little “control” they believe they might have had over a virus, a concept which is an oxymoron.

Meanwhile the economic damage quietly mounts, awaiting the efforts of the unemployed young to repair over decades to come.

Seriously, given the description written above that quote, I am trying desperately to delete the mental picture that reading it gave me! ~X( :-q

One must look closely at the pen names of folk who post on that forum.

e g, there is a Sue Denim, but that is not her real name but actually, oh never mind, it’s all too difficult! =))

More of that rare quality these days, a sound dose of commonsense from a historian;

Listen and weep, shame about Remembrance Day, we won’t be aware of the millions of the Fallen spinning in their graves at what has become of Liberated Europe...

Edit: I wonder how long before Mr Oliver is cancelled by the BBC, who are currently broadcasting his series on “Blood of the Clans”, the bloody history of Jockistan. They cannot allow such a presenter to pop up on alternative meeja to preach such blasphemy in this video and surely the censor Stasi will wake up and cancel his contract?

Sheer lunacy

#2738 Post by Undried Plum » Wed Oct 28, 2020 4:43 pm

Blackburn with Darwen has the highest rate of new cases of Covid-19 in England, with 1,176 new cases recorded in the seven days to October 23 - the equivalent of 785.6 cases per 100,000 people.

Nevertheless, their social club is allowed to continue as normal on the grounds that as a "membership based social club " they do not sell alcohol, instead, they "supply alcohol to their members".

785.6 cases per 100,000 people fer ****". The limit for a country to be put on the Q-list is 20.

785 and yet they can continue to run a social club as if it's just a pub.

No wonder this disease is running rampant throughout the land.

But there are quite a few inhabitants who, in theory, will NOT be partaking of the demon drink, if this is 'owt to go by;

The disease is spread from person to person most especially in the confined and ill-ventilated spaces of pubs and restaurants.

Opening such venues was sheer madness and predicitably kicked off the second wave of the killer disease.
