Re: Lockup/ lockdown. How to end it?
Ending it is easy, so the question, as asked, is facile.
The really important question is: When? Not How?
Clearly it is absurd of think of lifting the public health precautions when a pandemic is raging.
First get the epidemic under control; then think about removing the safety precautions.

No Plum.
The time is now....clearly
But How?
Many of the Sheeple love the lockdown- They are on the buroo, but without the stigma.
Getting these lazy and fearful wanks back to work will be a helluva job!

Re: Lockup/ lockdown. How to end it?
I didn't go to our council meeting last night. A friend did but didn't stay as masks were not being worn and social distancing not being observed "but it will all be relaxed on the 19th"
FFS is the 6th; he left. A University doctor was wearing his as was a lt col who has been actively involved with aid to the NHS for the last 12 months, but no one else and they are all over 50.
Sorry AK but I am staying in my bubble until Freedom day +14 or 21.
Did anyone note the Israeli assessment that the Pfizer is only 46% effective with the Delta. I have yet to see a breakdown of hospital demographics.
Did anyone notice G CPTN note about Raigmore hospital now full?

We have a population of 5m or so in New Zealand and the world wide Covid statistics make interesting reading..
UK for example has 1879 deaths per million population and the USA is about the same.
Our neighbours in Australia have had about 35 per million.
NZ has had 5 deaths per million.
So what do you think could be the cause of such disparity?

Well, whether you are in favour of liberty, or in favour of lockdown, one thing is for sure:
Ending lockdown is going to be difficult and controversial, however it's done.
I think our Boris is thinking "the weak have died, the bulk of the vulnerable are vaccinated- if we don't get back to work we will go broke and many will die of lockdown issues. Let's face the music".
YMMV.

Just about anyone that takes a position. We're not talking cooking numbers but selective display of what is available.

If the gumment is sufficiently embarrassed, they will simply remove the true numbers from public display.
Else, push out some obfuscatory and confluxing numbers to confuse the idiots and to appease the idiots who never wanted to know about reality anyway.

More like control of infected cases, quarantine, lock-downs, contact tracing, social distancing etc etc.

It's going to have a lot to do with population density. When your population is somewhat dense and can't understand the science, you're going to have worse results.John Hill wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 9:05 amWe have a population of 5m or so in New Zealand and the world wide Covid statistics make interesting reading..

I saw a woman at Wembley last night wearing a face mask.
I saw the 4th and 5th in line to the throne were not there. I hope the second doesn't kiss them when he gets home.

Re: Lockup/ lockdown. How to end it?
Australia and NZ can stay locked down and isolated for as long as they want and can go on claiming wonderful statistics, but the moment they want to resume normal life it will catch up with them. Life has risks. Some people will die from COVID, most will die with COVID. The rest will survive and live.John Hill wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 9:05 amWe have a population of 5m or so in New Zealand and the world wide Covid statistics make interesting reading..

This madness cannot continue for much longer.
Because they stand on the wall and say "nothing's gonna hurt you tonight, not on my watch".

Re: Lockup/ lockdown. How to end it?
Correct.
Perhaps we should all stay in our beds all day?
It must be safer than getting up.
How many lives will be lost if people start getting up in the morning?
Whats an acceptable number of deaths, to this Government, if people insist on getting up inthe morning?
I think we should be told!
