Apparently ‘Prof’ Fergie was getting it with his married mistress. Then apparently he caught it, had to self-isolate so presumably wasn’t getting it any more, apart from likely episodes of “self-isolation” as a substitute for not getting it.
Then, having caught it and survived it, he decided he needed desperately to get it (what he was missing) so imported married mistress so’s he could resume getting it.
Regrettably the press were on hand to detect him getting it once more so it looks like he won’t be getting it any time soon.
If her husband calls round to give him one, will that be a breach of the lockdown rules?
It’s unfortunate that the Monty Python writing team is reducing as there is a mad TV show script in there bursting to get out!

You are being ‘economical with the truth’, boac. During the discussion in another thread on ‘dogging’, in answer to my query as to your proximity to wooded areas near the sarf coast, you assured one and all here that you had a bitch.
Methinks I detect an inaccuracy or even a non-sequitur, though I gather the latter activity was classified as one of the >3,000 new criminal offences brought in by Shiny New Labour during their reign. :))

In some ways it is a non-story.
As mentioned, the professor had survived a dose of CV.
His mistress (apparently in an open marriage) broke lockdown rules to come to his house to comfort him.
His 'crime' is that he was a member of a government team establishing policy for Joe Public which decided that there should be no visiting by non-family members (other than under-18 children of separated families).
He should have told her to fcuk off.
Then, of course, somebody tipped-off the MSM.
Caught with his pants down!

Rough world population is quoted as approx 7,000,000,000 at last measurement, if such is possible.
Estimates of numbers who will lose their livelihood worldwide thanks to Covi-19 shutdown is 1,500,000,000, allegedly a throwaway line in a UK Channel4 TV news item.
Head across to the Spectator Magazine website and try reading Lionel Shriver’s take on this emergency and ponder whether the cure is going to be worse than the disease. The article is titled “If this is a war, let’s fight it like one”.
The same very articulate and perceptive lady can be heard in an interview conversing with Brendan O’Neill on the SpikedOnline website but I can’t expect the oldies on this forum to concentrate, audio only, for one hour to hear a sideways look at the current shambles, so that source of opinion and some alarming statistics will be denied to you for ever.
What planet...? :-o

I assumed the **** was the basis of the thing and not necessarily just a question of here or there....

Its interesting that the Torygraph knew about Ferguson's shagging and breaking self-isolation since the end of March but waited until this week to break the story.

It's almost as if they wanted to engineer a distraction on the anticipated day that the UK came top of the Euro league in Covid-19 deaths.

No government 'distraction' technique there, then?

You could almost guess they used it as a scoop when they knew everyone else would lead with the deaths.

In 2001 Labour aide Jo Moore faced stern criticism after suggesting the September 11 attacks were a "good day to bury bad news".
Miss Moore, who worked for Stephen Byers, at the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, was widely condemned for showing spin at its worst when her news management memo was leaked.
She resigned the following year, but the perception that government might occasionally look to "bury" news stories during big events remained.

Perhaps I'm reading you wrong but are you suggesting that the Telegraph is part of HMG's news management arm?

OK, I'm being facetious there. I know it was just an exercise in 'whataboutism'.
