Which I saw clearly in Nairobi almost 50 years ago and true also of religion be it Jew, Catholic or Muslim.

My mother was a lapsed Irish Catholic and her sister rabidly anti Catholic to her dying day even specifying where she was not to be cremated and refusing a Catholic ministration.

Yes please. Also all the spin off religions.

The problem, as I see it, is that the religions started off as ways of life, codification for health and hygiene, laws and mores. Naturally there is no one universal concept of right and wrong. Over 2,000 years ago there were clear disagreements, some 600 years later there were still arguments and new directives.

At some point these all became immutable laws. The 'lawyers' had a vested interest in controlling and the Enlightenment in effect created yet another split albeit not attributing the origin to some mythical being.

I am sure others will disagree and some even violently.

Surely the followers of these religions, and there are many so called religions, including those that are followed by non whites, that do absolutely nothing to denigrate other ethnicities.

Of your last, is true and he has inverted the truth. Segregation and violence was against the heathen. Those converted to Christianity were not heathen and to segregate and enslave was not Christian. That is where Livingstone was attempting.
