Racism

#1 Post by Bob » Fri Aug 28, 2020 11:35 am

.................Is it actually wrong?

I have found many definitions, I like this one:
A belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

Problem with definitions like that are they try to make things black and white...hoho.

I believe Race has a MAJOR bearing on characteristics, take for example runners..blacks are in general superior in many athletic feats, but are in general inferior at creating technological advances
Is this statement Racist or a recognisation of a thousand years of factual history?

So In short, is making a generalisation about Race a Racist statement and if so is that a bad thing?
I hereby declare the U.S.A. a Pariah state.

History shows that technological advance wasn't significant until the white man interfered with their way of life.

Do we know the 'skin colour' of those who discovered fire, and metal smelting?

I don't believe that internal combustion engines or radio and television were invented by black people.

Imagine living all that time in Africa, and never producing a sea going boat?

All that coastline, all those trees, all that manpower....result?

Nada. Nowt. Bugger-all.

Botswana is landlocked, as I am sure you know. Plenty of traditional sea going African fishing boats up and down the West and East African coasts...

Aye Gob
But no Ocean going boats. No expeditions or discoveries.

We had to sail past Africa in our quest to rape other Countries. The Africans had a great start on us, but they were too busy having a nice zzz after lunch.

The Africans had walked across the land bridge to Europe thousands of years before. All that effort. They deserve a siesta! ;)))

I still don't understand how Blacks evolved into whites, Japs and Chinks, nevermind blond and blue-eyed Scandis.

My allusion to Ex-A's boat was very much tongue in cheek... lest he take offence =))

I once saw a documentary that held that the difference in evolution between dark skinned people and white skinned people was caused largely by climate.

The documentary put forward that white people living in climates that had harsh winters learned that they had to over produce things and store things in the summer to be able to survive and endure the winter. These people also had to build substantial dwellings to protect them and their livestock from below freezing temperatures. They also learned that some people were good a producing certain things and that they could swap and bata them for things that others produced.

They held, with regard to dark skinned people, that they lived largely between the Tropics and that the difference between summer and winter was negligible and that they had food and provisions available all year round. If they needed meat they went out and hunted from the abundant wildlife. When they had consumed all of the food in one vicinity they moved to another and repeated the cycle. As such they never really needed to build dwellings of much substance as they were temporary.Because they were nomadic they never learned how to store ,bata and swap.

I think these positions remain true today.

So Ex-A's workers don't need to 'save up for a rainy day' and they get whatever they need from their immediate surroundings?

Africans built great civilisations while honkeys were squatting in wattle & daub huts.

Moors and other African Moozlamic civilisations developed exquisite mathematics while Yoorpeens were ripping eachothers arms and legs off in a dispute over whether the Earth was flat with Rome at its centre.

Rome's most successful Emperor in terms of conquering Northern Britain wasn't Hadrian or Antononius, but an African Emperor of Rome.

O M G! There was another ‘Gob’ out there once upon a time. I hope T G G is not related?

So much for Wiki’p but I was unable to resist the possible distant connection... :O3

Here are a few pages of the great man’s writing but don’t get caught reading it by any Grauniad subscribers!
