Though you remain
Convinced
"To be alive
You must have somewhere
To go
Your destination remains
Elusive."

The B-52 video. As the narrator is busy telling us that the reason all those bombs were being dropped was to ensure the security of the United States. How?? What did the North Vietnamese have available to threaten the United States?

Or was it perhaps the financial security of the people producing the bombs?.

In 1965/66 there was a feeling in the USAF of us and them. Them being the aircrew in SAC, safe and secure in the US, and TAC taking all the flak.

One correction was rotating SAC crews through TAC squadrons. The move to using SAC crews was possibly as much SAC commanders wanting part of the financial benefits.

One dit, in the huge O-Club bar at Anderson sat two TAC crew men in transit (not sure whether homebound or heading back to Vietnam). Then into the bar, leading a large number of Buff crews post mission, came a bird colonel "Clear the bar, make way for operational aircrew"

I think one of the TAC crew might have decked him.
