I wish someone would decide on a country for this story that is variously attributed to three or more countries.
Been in data comm since we formed the bits individually with a Morse key.

Re: A new low in PC Bullsh!t
It would appear to have originated from a university in Australia, I have just watched an Australian TV program that stated students were not to use the terms mother or father, but to use the terms "Gestational parent for the mother, and non birthing parent for the father.
What are the other countries mentioned for this idiocy? and where in these countries did the terms originate?? The University is known, but more research is needed before which one posted on here.

And I suppose, not so surprisingly, a natural progression from the same sex marriage legislation, emboldened, now every minority demands their 'rights'....

Re: A new low in PC Bullsh!t
This from yesterday's Telegraph
PEERS are to urge the Government to amend its Maternity Bill in order to reference “women”, The Daily Telegraph understands.
Lord Hunt of Kings Heath said he would be urging changes to the language used in the Ministerial and other Maternity Allowances Bill and he was in discussions with colleagues.
MPs have raised concerns that the Bill, which will have its second reading in the Lords on Feb 22, refers to a “person” rather than a “woman”.

And from the Daily Mail 7 days ago, so it must be true
AFAIK Chicks with Dicks don't produce milk.A hospital has told staff to use terms like 'birthing parents' and 'human milk' rather than just referring to 'mothers' and 'breast milk' so transgender people are not offended.
Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust unveiled a blizzard of 'gender inclusive' phrases in a drive to stamp out 'mainstream transphobia'.
The Trust is the first in the country to formally implement such a radical overhaul for its maternity services department - which will now be known as 'perinatal services'.
Re: A new low in PC Bullsh!t
Surely they cannot refer to 'midwives'? Midpersons, surely? Where will this madness stop?
Re: A new low in PC Bullsh!t
To be fair, the 'wife' part of midwife refers to the one giving birth, not the attendant - not that I expect the complainers to be the slightest interested in such details when they force the word to be replaced.
As for the subject above, I do rather want to say 'Pull the 'udder one...'

Re: A new low in PC Bullsh!t
Thanks for the correction, John. SO it has to be 'midgestational parent'?
