I thought there was too much CO2?
Now it seems there's not enough!

I suggest a bit of drilling for oil and particularly gas, may be a good idea!

This Climate Shite is the closest thing I've ever seen, to mass hysteria. The few sensible unbelievers are too feart to say a damn thing...

Here one of the founders of Greenpeace, seperates the science from the politics.

It's one and a half hours of common sense and every minute is gold.

Don't forget we've been approaching the 'point of no return' now for more than 20 years....used to be called 'Global Warming', and it was gospel!...islands were set to be sunk! etc etc...but that never happened and then it was branded 'Climate Change'.....at least covid has knocked it off the front pages...

And it showed why it is not good idea to ruin our way of life by cutting consumption and travel as the little Swedish lass was suggesting. A lot of people will equate the climate crisis stopping measures with unemployment and higher taxes

Yers. The Dams would never be filled again, continuous droughts would plague the Land, Rivers would dry up etc etc
(cue the Scotty from Dad's Army; 'We're dooomed...")

.islands were set to be sunk!
Indeed! I can remember reading an article about one particular Island in the South Pacific (name now escapes me but may have been Kiribati) on how the sea level had risen a few centimetres over about 10 years on one side of the Island.

It then went on to say that the sea level on the opposite side of the Island had dropped by approximately the same distance. :-o

The place is/was subsiding! But the pro warmists didn't mention that!

This sounds like a very unlikely story.

In truth I am very ambivalent about CC. When I read that some recent volcanic eruption threw out more noxious gases than humans have done in total over the last two centuries, and put this against the UK smogs in the fifties, which were quite horrendous. As kids we would offer to walk in front of motorists to guide them to their local destinations for pocket money, well. And also remember my father coughing his lungs up if he went outside. Came back from Germany - WWII, respiratory system a total mess.

Apparently 100% of electricity generated in India comes from coal powered power stations. Is that going to change - no way. Not in our lifetime. One of the few pleasures in life is the knowledge that I will be long gone if and when the sh1t hits the fan, but I still try to curtail my waste of finite resources. Don't turn the heating on just because I can.

We don't own Planet Earth, we are just caretakers for the duration of our existence, and feel we are duty bound to leave it in a better state than when we emerged from the womb. Not a bad philosophy, methinks.

My biggest fear, is that Politicians are all clamouring for all the coal powered power stations be closed as soon as possible and with no plans as to what is going to replace them to give a reliable 24 hour source of electricity, I think we all agree, that wind and solar are not the answer, perhaps Nuclear is the only way to go.
The backlash from the greenies would be horrendous if that was the case.

This sounds like a very unlikely story.
Nevertheless, It was a genuine article.
It is actually called 'tilting'
Daresay you are quite corect. However, I clearly remember that particular article in question referred to the 'subsidence' of that side of the Island.

If we are merely caretakers, when do the owners arrive? (Many short videos on this theme on "Dust" On YouTube).

Ha. "Dust" is a series of short scifi films on YouTube. Most are excellent, many on the theme of Arrivals from Elsewhere, but sadly few aliens are benevolent. The upside of us making the Earth a sh*thole is that aliens would not be interested in coming to live here. It would be like going to live in Slough.

https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/national ... hp&pc=U531

" Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg is calling out New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern for "not doing anything" to address the climate emergency.

In an interview with The Guardian, the 18-year-old was asked what she thought about Ardern's comments in June, where she described climate change as a matter of "life or death".

"It's funny that people believe Jacinda Ardern and people like that are climate leaders," Thunberg responded."

Begs the question, how does Greta know that Jacinda has not stopped farting??
