Is there anything, that the pathetic British will not put up with?
In the topical rush to divest ourselves of Freedoms that our predecessors gave their lives for, the question has to be asked- "Is there a point where the line is drawn?"
Is there any point at which we push back against the latest decree on, for example, how many from so many households can meet?, or whether we can leave our own Country? Or whatever the latest decree from on high, is.
The supine behaviour of so many is utterly pathetic, and will certainly encourage another raft of diktats from our rulers in the future.
You'd expect it from the lesser Nations, but I expected better from the Brits.
Now that we have let ourselves be shamelessly pumped up the arse by our rulers, without so much as a whimper- indeed, 'Please Sir, can I have another', it wont be long til the next one, and don't expect any lubricant either.
A Nation of pathetic supplicants.

I see it more as a nation of pragmatic people quietly trying to follow advice on combating a particularly nasty pandemic.
There are those who blatantly defy all advice and show off, they often die.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. The approach of the UK government regarding international travel Right This Minute is completely different to that of the EU Member States with which I am familiar. Compare for yourself the infection rates both absolute and incrememting, and decide who has got it right.
Back to the OP. Our nuclear friend is absolutely correct. We have become supine sheep.

The British are are generally quiet and reserved until someone manages to piss them off enough, then they wake up and give someone a good kicking.

The Quality of a People may be inferred by examining those they pick to lead them.

Yup, we did pick the Nazional Socialismus Partei.
I don't think there's a clear line between reasonable restrictions to help control a lethal pandemic and utter absurdities. When that non-existent line is crossed, however, it becomes clear that the gumment has gone too far.
One current example is that of a cruise ship being banned from landing at Greenock on an intra-UK tour which was due to start at Liverpool and land at a few other UK ports and return to Liverpool. All of the crew and pax were fully vaccinated and all had been tested negative for the virus. They are allowed to travel by any form of transport, including ferries, but they're not allowed to travel to/from Scotland by cruise ship.
Something is very badly **** up.
In answer to the question: I don't know at which point we actually go out on the streets in concert with banners proclaiming "Up with this **** I will not put!". At the beginning of the Bush/Bliar war against Iraq I went on the first street demo I had ever attended. Altogether there were over three million of us marching on the streets of the UK that day. I carried a banner saying "Not in my name" and the person next to me carried a banner saying "Make tea, not War". Did we make a difference? Nope. Did we think that we would stop the ghastly war? Nope.
Do street demos make a difference? I don't think so. Look at the domestic demos in the US during the American War in Vietnam. Did that prevent the massacre of three million Vietnamese people? Nope.

Plum
I was also on my first (and last) protest march back then. Naively, I thought Blair might take heed as Glasgow was brought to a standstill that day.
Scotland and indeed the UK has been changed, changed utterly, and it rips my knitting!
Given the old choice, FIFO, I FO'd.
What a nation of utter pansies!

This explains why there will be no Jewish men at our destination.

Canadian, and specifically Ontario, is the most locked down country. Today they "allowed" restaurants to open for patio eating and everyone is going gaga over it. "Thank you massah". Still can’t get a haircut and have to wait in line to go into a hardware store.
Because they stand on the wall and say "nothing's gonna hurt you tonight, not on my watch".

Re: Is there anything, that the pathetic British will not put up with?
As the chap on LBC said, there are those, retired like us, for whom it makes little difference.
Just back from holiday in Cornwall and the only difference we noted was masks and improved hygiene and cleanliness.
A restaurant we ate at was full to capacity with tables all at appropriate spacing. Difficult to imagine how they could have squezzed more people in.
In Dorset, near Bournemouth, things were much more cramped and rules ignored. At one very famous restaurant there was a row of bistro tables and chairs, all cheek by jowl and bare feet from the pavement.
Quite honestly, if somewhere is packed like that we would never go in at any time.

Re: Is there anything, that the pathetic British will not put up with?
Talking to an employer in Scotland yesterday. Her furloughed staff were getting 80% and in order to keep them she paid them the remaining 20% out of her pocket. Lockdown "over" she is now working seven days a week filling delayed orders, but some of her staff have given notice as the work is too arduous (or possibly they've got used to being idle).
