I really did think you might have something useful to contribute.

For starters he should stop stuffing his face with Ementaler. Then, stop spending ridiculous amounts of money and effort on building the pointless military and use it to build farming machinery and start farming the land.
Because they stand on the wall and say "nothing's gonna hurt you tonight, not on my watch".
Re: Meanwhile far away and out of sight in the DPRK..
You should expand your knowledge somewhat.
The DPRK military is not pointless as the country is at war with the USA so why would they disarm? Like Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi for example, didn't disarming go well for him!
Machinery, spares and fuel needed for agriculture is under sanctions.

And the military hardware isn't?
Get over it John. Your friends are rogue despots and until they are gone their people will suffer.

The people will suffer as long as the USA continues the state of war between them.

Re: Meanwhile far away and out of sight in the DPRK..
I very much doubt that the DPRK would flourish if all sanctions were removed.
By flourish I mean move to full nutrition.

You may be right but you cannot be certain of that while on the other hand I am quite sure that sanctions are making life much harder in various ways for the rank and file North Koreans.
You may be aware that twenty years after the Korean War the North Korean economy was on a par with the South. Of course you can say what you like about more recent times but there is no doubt sanctions (and even tightening sanctions) have not helped the standard of living of North Koreans.

Re: DPRK and Russia..
https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-paci ... 021-08-12/SEOUL, Aug 12 (Reuters) - North Korea intends to strengthen cooperation with Russia to counter the United States, and peace on the Korean peninsula will not be possible until American troops are withdrawn, Pyongyang's ambassador to Russia told TASS news agency.
Ambassador Sin Hong-chol's comments come after senior North Korean leaders warned this week that South Korea and the United States would face repercussions for their decision to go ahead with annual joint military drills. read more
The drills are a "rehearsal for war" and prove the United States is responsible for destabilising the situation, he told TASS in an interview published on Wednesday.
"We will also boost cooperation between North Korea and Russia with the view to counter the U.S., a common threat," Sin told TASS.

It's high time you left wing wankers were taken out and shot.
If we don't do it, you'll have all us sensible people shot.
Think I'm joking, check out the Khmer Rouge,

Really John, this left-leaning stuff is like a disease.
You idiots who suffer from it also suffer from a related smugness and superiority about how correct you all are, and how pitiful and uninformed are those poor souls too thick to appreciate the high ideals of your fellow 'right on' left wing wing colleagues.
You should really go to the Doctors and see if there's something you can take for it.
Time and time again, it leads to disaster. And time and time again, you **** argue that it will work next time, if only we try it a wee bit differently.

You just carry on as you are and maybe things will change.

Re: Meanwhile far away and out of sight in the DPRK..
Technically there is a state of war as no peace treaty was signed.
I would guess that before the South could make any serious expedition to reunite with the North there would need to be substantial US force build up. The USA has instead been content sustain forces at a defensive level should the North decide to attack.
It is a stand off much as the western Cold War.

Oh, I see you think an attempt to invade the North is possible.Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Sat Aug 14, 2021 7:13 amTechnically there is a state of war as no peace treaty was signed.

Are you a foreigner living in NZ? That would explain why you know so little about the place.ExSp33db1rd wrote: ↑Sat Aug 14, 2021 5:13 amWhere's Aitowotsit ( on your profile ) I can't even spell it, I thought you lived in New Zealand, like me ?

""Are you a foreigner living in NZ? That would explain why you know so little about the place.""
I have lived here for 81 years, and it is only since we have had Jacinda and her socialist friends trying to separate New Zealanders back into tribal groups that this Aotearoa crap has come into prominence. The country was never called Aotearoa, there is perhaps a little bit of evidence that it referred only to the North Island, but never to the whole of NZ.
https://www.nzcpr.com/aotearoa-new-zealand/
"" New Zealanders should take a long hard look at what’s happening in Zimbabwe and South Africa, to see the dangers associated with elevating cultural rights above the equal rights of citizens. There, policies allow the compulsory taking of private land without compensation, and in Zimbabwe, where land seizures have been underway for years, the redistributions have largely been to the ruling elite.""
And if one has the time and inclination to read the comments at the end of that article, it should be very obvious what the majority of folk have no time for a name change
