Seen, agreed and that’s the worry.

But then I can turn over and get to sleep realising that the hand up his back making him move and speak, if not very articulately or grammatically, is actually that of the Deep State whom I assume have more mobile informed neutrons to rub together.

Not that I agree with their aims and motives and they are now more powerful following Dealey Plaza in November 1963 with no strong statesmanlike figure to stand up against them. :-?

On a more local note, it’s a crying shame that this thread is becoming dominated by flippant mostly musical videos as we approach the prospect of youth and older being slaughtered on Eastern European soil yet again. [-X

It appears most aviation insurers are baulking at the risk of operating into Ukraine. KLM has cancelled all schedules.

A Global Hawk, call sign FORTE12, from Sigonalla has been flying over Ukraine all night, it was there before I went to bed last night and it's still there now.

Seems to be a reasonable amount of aviation taking place in Ukrainian airspace this morning , including TK413 enroute from IST to Moscow
When all else fails, read the instructions.

I guess the 'authorities' (insurers) see the risk on the ground? I hope we do not see another MH17.

Looking at FR24, I see that everyone is avoiding Eastern Ukraine.

There be nutters with missiles!

Else, there is the usual traffic, including such 'frames as R22, Warrior, etc.

The maritime situation has been largely ignored by the MSM but is concerning.

Are the Septics throwing their weight around again?

Surely Pusser's Type 45s aren't able to make trouble with their Rolls Royce wonky donkeys needing a redesign and rebuild.

We are told that D-day is Wednesday the 16th. We shall see whether the whole thing is just another hoax or whether this time it's different.

It was there all day last Saturday too, mostly offset along the East and Northern borders of Ukraine at 55K
Impressive range/Endurance, I do wonder if the U2/Tr1's days are numbered.

Plum sez:- “Surely Pusser's Type 45s aren't able to make trouble with their Rolls Royce wonky donkeys needing a redesign and rebuild.”

I suppose they could always be sent out to the conflict zone with an exceptionally long “ground power” cable from their base harbour, but if that occurred then us landlubbers would probably be subjected to Baghdad-style rolling electricity cuts as they really wound up their kit to battle capability.

But in the cooler temperatures of the war zone perhaps leaving the cooling air conditioning off might save the odd few wiggly amps which was apparently one of their problems in the Middle East deployment.

As long as we don't send HMS Northbumbleland we'll be OK. :-bd

There also seems to be an assumption that NATO and its members would actually want the Ukraine to join.

The only applicant ever turned down by NATO was Russia. Having Russia in the fold would have been really good for peace in Europe, but really bad for the US military-industrial complex, so not going to happen.

Ukraine would be the jewel in the crown of The Empire.

I see that Forte 12 landed Sigonella at 20:00z. More than 25 hours airborne time. Very impressive.

Rivet Joint Homer 11 is trogging back and forth off the coast of Southern Russia.

RyanAir/Buzz flew several flights to/from Ukraine today, apparently unaffected by insurance worries. I suspect that the US will arrange for those flights to be shut down tomorrow or the next day. Something along the lines of "don't you know there's a war on?".

The last thing they want History to record is that The Empire held a war but nobody came.
