If the last one to leave has to turn the lights out, it'll be Boris... This is heading for a General Election.

The good ship rustbucket 'Boris' is holed below the waterline now, I think.

Do remember, based on the last 25 years, that Boris is only the worst Prime Minister Britain's ever had until the next one is appointed.

The SAS have entered Patel's office and escorted her to Heathrow where she is being forcibly placed on a jet to Rwanda to cheer the UK up.

So, the two contenders for the leadership contest have come out.

If we're to have a sweepstake, my Pound would be on the rich guy to win. It is the Tory party, after all.

Whether Sunak will push for a snap General Election is an interesting point. It would comprehensively bugger up Wee Krankie's plans, so that ploy would have some merit.

The bookies early front runner is Penny Mordaunt...but the bookies make money, not Prime Ministers.

Just consulted a Politics teacher - she thinks Boris will be around for a few days at least, and that the Tory Grandees may pick Raab as the next candidate to be praised.

For what any of that is worth.

Another one goes: Will Quince
"With great sadness and regret, I have this morning tendered my resignation to the Prime Minister after I accepted and repeated assurances on Monday to the media which have now been found to be inaccurate.
I wish my successor well - it is the best job in government."

Pushed out in front of the TV cameras the other day to lie on behalf of BoJo. What took him so long?

EDIT: Now Robin Walker - whoever he is/was

EDIT:........

I hope we are not wasting money on changing door nameplates and letter-heads in government? Perhaps we could run to some peel-off stickers on which names can be crayoned?

BoJo the clown HAD 211 'loyal' MPs (sorry - that should read 'career politicians') to choose from in June so he could keep playing 'promote another dickhead' for quite a while.

If he promotes my worse-than-useless MP then he really is scraping the barrel.

Ah Yes, Miss Mordaunt. Definitely way out in front of the other runners, but I'm not sure if she's in with a shout of becoming PM though. ;))) ;)))
It's always my fault - SWMBO

I have long held to the principle that if a Dilbert cartoon ever matches your workplace on the day it is published, resign immediately.
And I have had to do it once.

The prime minister has sacked Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Secretary, Michael Gove.
Would’ve thought that enough people had left in the last couple of days without having to sack anyone #-o
