CCTV shows Marlene brining a rat in over the wall at 01:00. No sign of it this morning....

Search for rat terminated. Neither dead nor alive nor blood spots found. I asked Marlene and she replied "Rat ? rat ? No idea. Might have heard the word sometime but can't remember where..."

We're in town for business. No cats seen before we left our house (lazy gits getting up later and later). Rachael cleaner up today to do house. Phone bleeps, CCTV records cats have finally appeared and R is sitting on bench outside feeding them and administering strokes, cuddles etc.
