Whose in charge around here, dogs or chickens?

We have this shielded corner with a couple of old lawn chairs just by the front door "dogs for the use off". Now how does any self-respecting Border Collie put up with this sort of behaviour? T'is easy to collect the eggs though!

The dogs are very well behaved. The UPS driver says it brightens his day if he has a delivery for us because he gets such a welcome from the dogs and the regular mail delivery driver shuts down his van and sits on it's steps for a few minutes to play with the dogs.
