Remind me to add Sudan to my avoid list of countries run by corrupt, murderous, suicidal morons...no, wait, it's already there.
Heck of a long list these days. Every 'S' is there except Switzerland
Someone has heard about your little list, and changed the name of his country!
It now begins with e.
Agree about Khartoum, been there twice, for a total of 2 hours. While the flying m/c was re-fuelled.

A strange accident indeed. I think I would have gone grass-track racing.
My comment on 'fatal' was without confirmation - just looking at the bit missing from the rear aircraft!

Amazingly the latest reports indicate only 'minor injuries'.

Looks destined to be a disaster from the start?

Unbelievable!
How on earth?
Wheel barrowed all the way down the runway and the nose wheel took it until he hit the other aircraft. How did this confluence of two aircraft occur? So many questions. Quite amazing to see how far that fuselage was bending as well! They make those Antonov's strong.

Two Sudanese military aircraft. Some sources report that 8 people were injured. I am surprised that nobody was killed looking at this.
Khartoum, circa 1958. Under supervision as a new, junior, crew member, and being last out of the flight planning office ( seniority rules ) I was stopped by one of the local flight planners who tried to give me a small, sealed, parcel to take down to Nairobi. No, I at least had the nouse to reply, that much I knew already. But it's only my watch that I want repaired in Nairobi, he said. Yeah ! Right ! I'll never know.
