Isn't that the long range 'classic'?

Quite a rare beast.

Air Austral the resident airline of Reunion used to operate 2 of them.

Is there a difference between 300,400 and 500. I am aware that some 300s had a panel similar to the 200 but thought the "digital" panel was the same in all three.
I was licensed Insruments/Autopilot on all but only really dealt with 400s so may be wrong.

Edit to change am to was.

I would expect all 3 to be the same, but the enquiry from a contact was specific to the 500. Any non-EFIS 737 panel would be worth looking at.

Cannot remember as there were a few changes. In DanAir, I was 2/3/4 rated at one point, then the CAA had a think and we had to do two revals each time - think it was the instrumentation as much as the motors. In BA it was 2 or 3/4/5. In Astraeus, 3/5/7 I recall??

Ah OK I was just curious, Engineering wise it was 2, a separate rating for 3,4 and 5 and I believe a further rating for 6,7, and 8

737-300-400-500 EFIS cockpits are all the same Boac. Only the weights and CFM engine rating were different from the others.

The -500 was a bit of a bitch like a V-tail Bonanza when the yaw damper was inop in turbulence. Waffled around like a drunk buzzard.

Yup - flown them all, somewhere sometime. my (ageing) problem is I cannot recall from 14 years ago whether the BA 3/4/5s all had EFIS or just L/VNAV.

Wodrick - not quite so easy! The ex Dan 300s were 'round dial'.

Anyway, anyone got one?

Ah BA's version. I wouldn't know. But does it matter wether it's Birdseed's or not?

Is this required for an operational aircraft or are you building a procedural trainer/simulator?
Been in data comm since we formed the bits individually with a Morse key.

It is for a film production, and 'realism' is considered essential.

OK, if you are stuck you could try Pacific Simulators in NZCH, phone ++6433430864 https://www.pacificsimulators.com/contact-us/

I gather you want the clocks and dials version not glass? I believe they have one sitting in their CH office.

This company specialise in overhauling and breaking early B737s, you might drop them an email, there are several fire dump condition aircraft parked up outside, I carried out a C of A issue on a 737-500 there some years ago so it is definitely on their capability list.
