Re: Overshoots His Destination
Not forgetting the US airline that flew well past destination some years ago. Cannot recall the detail - someone will!

Re: Overshoots His Destination
Vulcan captain, a bit irascible, told his nav to shut up as he was trying to think. Couple of minutes later nav tried again. Our hero said Shut Up.
Some time later he asked the nav what he wanted. "Nothing important"
No, what was it?
"Just heading for the next leg."
What is it?
"Too late now"there
Why, where are we?
" Just approaching Iceland. "
They should have turned South on an ECM run into Stornoway - they had just enough fuel to make base and a grovelling apology to Shanwick.
