NZ Fatality

#1 Post by ExSp33db1rd » Mon Dec 17, 2018 7:25 am

Local NZ news just reporting the crash of a homebuilt RV4 at Raglan. 2 confirmed fatalities.

Usual Media reporting ..........said the plane was flying erratically and went into a "death barrell roll" that was a "full 90 degrees".

Sad nevertheless.

What goes up must come down - though, one would hope, gently, and smoothly, and safely.

It makes a much more exciting headline than saying 'it crashed, killing two people and the CAA is investigating' - bloody press!

There was a comment that maybe he was trying to land on the beach, but there were no tyre marks leading up to the wreckage.

Maybe the correspondent hasn't got the right idea about landing ?
