Paul Holyroyd, of Le Vieux Beaumont, St Peter, Jersey, admitted co-piloting 64 flights – 40 in the UK and 17 to or from Oxford – without holding the correct documentation and forging documents. The 67-year-old was given a three-month suspended sentence and made to pay £2,115 for helping fly a Falcon 2000 between May 14 and October 17, 2017.

I presume the Falcon 2000 is multi crew. I know some exec jets are not.
Personally I would have given him some time inside.
I was once given the option to do a single pilot instrument rating but decided against it. Can't talk, change frequencies manage throttles and fly all at the same time. Ain't safe without four on the flight deck and four engines.

That's sad. Nearly fifty years ago I did a few trips in the rht hnd seat of a Kingair without the necessary bits of paper. Normally single pilot ops for a mining company in Serf Effrica. Every so often VIP's would come down from way way up noorth, demanding two pilots, 'cos they were important. As if there were spare jockeys just sitting around doing nothing. Did quite a few hours of instruction type stuff from El Capitaine, to the point where he was happy. Mind you it's not as if it was very busy down there. Wasn't allowed to talk to the tower, as they would have recognised my voice. Kept the VIP's happy.

That is a different situation if the Falcon is multi crew. Mrs Ex-Ascot used to fly RHS with me in the BN2T. She has a PPL but not multi engine. Also never did take off or landing just the boring bits whilst I read the newspaper.

I think that I know this bloke.
There is rather a GA culture within the business jet world that I found surprising, the Falcon, particularly later versions, are pretty complex aircraft with all the latest airspace approval systems, and they are in some cases operated without the professionalism that an airline culture would impose.
This is particularly true of aircraft operated on non member state registries.

All marks of the Falcoon are multi crew.
Re: Unlicensed pilot fined £2,000
Not entirely. I was listed on the manifest as First Officer, and was capable of fulfilling all functions if El Capitaine - Max, was for any reason rendered inoperative in flight. Logged hundreds of hours as PiC on BN2A's.
