More likely an overwing dinghy?
Otherwise it would be shock horror ‘door opens inflight’!
Used to be quite common on 757s or 767s and presumably Mr Boeing thought there was a fix or the MM was suitably amended?
If it landed in a garden it would make a good kiddies’ paddling pool as it’s hardly likely to be returned to service!
