Shock horror - differences tested on real pilots before deciding whether sims are needed!
That's quite a change from deciding they don't without testing, then blaming the pilots as incompetent losers when they make mistakes.
Next thing you know, they'll be asking Boeing to test other things!!
;)))

Good news for Boeing: Iran shot it down! #:-S
Bad news for Boeing: They didn't offer missile detection and deterrence as an option! :(

Israelis have the option and I am sure would love it to have it installed on the incident aircraft.

Boeing might want to add that to the option list. They certainly need help with additional cash-flow.

Ukraine should be top of the list.

It seems Ukrainians have the widest experience on the subject dating back in 2001

There's a version for the 747 that could probably be adapted for smaller aircraft.

“Designed by clowns, supervised by monkeys”. Not a good sales pitch!

The crisis surrounding Boeing deepened on Friday as US politicians lined up to attack the company over the latest revelations about its safety culture, a major supplier cut thousands of staff and regulators proposed fining it over faulty parts.

Members of Congress reacted with anger to the publication of hundreds of messages in which Boeing employees mocked regulators and admitted flaws in its ill-fated 737 Max jet, which was later involved in two fatal accidents.

And as investigators pored over the latest documents, Spirit AeroSystems, one of the biggest suppliers for the Max, announced it would lay off 2,800 US workers as a result of the ongoing turmoil surrounding the jet, which has been grounded for the past 10 months.

Peter DeFazio, the Democratic chair of the House transport committee, which is investigating the two crashes, said: “These emails show that the problems at Boeing go beyond one rogue employee, and that there was a culture of concealment at the company.”
Quotes

“Now friggin Lion Air might need a sim [simulator training] to fly the MAX, and maybe because of their own stupidity. I’m scrambling to figure out how to unscrew this now! idiots.”

“This airplane is designed by clowns who in turn are supervised by monkeys.”

“I still haven’t been forgiven by god for the covering up I did last year.”

I still can't understand how monkeys smart enough to design an airplane are irresponsible enough to put those words on an e-messaging system.

RiS, the operative phrase is “smart enough”. MCAS and it’s incorporation speaks volumes about ‘smartness’.

Boeing to be fined $5.4 million for knowingly installing faulty parts. Unrelated to the MCS fiasco.

I already mentioned that Boeing had the same problem puting the LEAP engine on the 737, that Embraer had puting the GTF engine on the 190.
It took an entire redesign of the aircraft, in Embraers case, but somehow Boeing got by with a cludge?

You can fool the shareholders, and you can fool the FAA, but you cannot fool the air.

Obscene.

I know someone that won £51m in the lottery. He used his winnings to upgrade his planned trip to NZ and bought a new home in the same village - guess he made them an offer they couldn't refuse. Other than that he carries on as before.

But these business millionaires, they just keep on digging and just earn more money than they can ever spend. Why?
