Beat me to it by 15 minutes.
I'd love to get that ride, just not that type of landing! :-bd

One inadvertent firing will probably result in the intentional firing of others in the chain of command in this squadron resulting from this screw up.

One hell of an inadvertent way to discover what is possibly a software bug as well!

Airboos software is infallible, like Il Papa. Boeing software is fallible, like ordinary humanoids. Geddit?!

It would appear there was more than one 'failure' in the Rafale systems. Sacre bleu!

After watching that video I can disprove BM's claim that arseholes stop us soiling our clothing :))

What nationality were those dickheads? That was not 'G-Loc'. That was simple idiocy.

The ejection would have been/was a disaster in itself. The indications are that the guy was not correctly strapped-in, so would have 'floated' upwards away from the seat under -ve g, and when the seat fired it would have been travelling v fast when it hit his backside. This will cause serious back-injury as my jet provost QFI had found out when he banged out of a Javelin at -3g.

Add on the helmet not fitting or done up; the mask I gather was not fastened, so no intercom.

All together an inglorious day for the FAF and several candidates for BM's guillotine.

Watched that video twice and couldn't really see anything identifiable except for the last few seconds.

Poor resolution on my screen perhaps? :-\

Look at the instruments!
The altimeter is top right in the HUD. Starts at 8,300. Goes down to 10 feet....

Thanks AtomKraft. It is still a bit hard to read the numbers.

Maybe my screen... :-?

It doesn't really matter whether they were feet or metres - the rising level of 'excitement' in the voices as they broke through the cloud layer tells all. :)) In my book 10 feet or 10 m is not enough when I am pulling like a bastard.

High pitched voice, low pitched aircraft...
