It is truly frightening that this sort of pilot can exist. Reportedly an 'instructor' with the airline too. He supposedly flew the first of the 4 sectors to show the 'new' F/O how to fly the approach into Al Hoceima.
One has to say that the F/O obviously had not absorbed the tuition.

I see there is some suggestion that the crew initially reported the incident as a 'birdstrike' to ATC (later corrected) - presumably a seagull sitting on the surface.......
