Interesting Twitter video. How many people will the wing of a 737-size jet support? Did they have to check it for damage afterwards?

Authorities took into custody a man who climbed onto the wing of an Alaska Airlines plane minutes before takeoff at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas on Saturday, December 12.

(CNN)A man was taken into custody after he climbed onto the wing of an Alaska Airlines plane at the Las Vegas airport Saturday, an airport spokesman said.

Flight 1367 from Las Vegas to Portland was preparing for takeoff from McCarran International Airport when the pilot noticed a person coming toward the aircraft and notified the control tower, Alaska Airlines said in a statement.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and airport officials took the man into custody, airport spokesman Joe Rajchel told CNN.
The man had hopped a perimeter fence and was observed by airport staff around 1:40 p.m. PST, according to Rajchel.

Video shot by a passenger shows the man sitting and walking on the wing. He then removes his socks and shoes before trying to climb the Boeing 737's winglet, the upturned end of the plane's wing. As police officers approach the man, he slides down the winglet and falls to the tarmac below.
Officers took the man into custody and he was taken to a medical facility, Rajchel said.
The plane returned to the gate for a full inspection following the incident, the statement from Alaska Airlines said.
According to Alaska Airlines' website, the flight was scheduled to depart at 12:30 p.m. but the delay led to its departure at 4:48 p.m.

If our over wing hatches were opened the plane had to undergo a pressure check. Does that generally apply or simply a maintenance check?

Just refit/close depending on type of hatch, a pressure check in the civil world is a rare event.

No exits opened in this case.

He did well to get on the wing from the ground then ! From the picture he looks to be on the walk here bit rather than the no step bit.

Was the 737 an NG or a Max?

If so, it would be an easier climb up the pylon, but not if the donk was running!

Sorry PN.
I hadn't watched the video. #-o I only read the article and it mentions police approaching him and his falling off the wing.
I didn't realize that they were actually on the wing.
At any rate, Emergency Exit would be re-closed and a check to show it armed. Probably would have maintenance do it to CYA.

Either way, he got his comeuppance (downance). =))

That's what I would expect probably a GVI of the wing too.

Obviously a Trump supporter. A poor deluded loon, out there on a wing and despair.

I very much doubt that. He was on the left wing. :))
