Boac - who wrote that? I'm lost! Suspies seem to stir the male libido. There was one lovely young Ops Assistant in BCal Helicopters...but that's another story.

GG - You are/were correct C16, I thoroughly enjoyed reading through Bill Ashpole's site and am so sorry to hear of his passing. I do hope that his site will be preserved as much for its aviation historical value, as well as being a tribute to a very interesting and accomplished man.
Ditto +1 I've passed the news on to a few old BAH friends.

Doh - I see now. I was distracted by a couple of things in the photo and couldn't lower my gaze.

Is it a cryptic crossword clue UP?

Ah, maybe you mean H who went on to join the Police in West Wales? She featured on the CVR tape of my incident with Ian M when as we taxied in from the previous trip for a rotors running turn round the first words the AAIB heard on the 30 minute tape were his...."Let's pull a bit of pitch and make H's kilt fly". :))
The helicopter pilots' mantra: If it hasn't gone wrong then it's just about to...

We all loved H - she was great fun. I'd love to have been arrested by her!

This was a younger English girl with dark hair. I can't remember her name this far on.

The collective or cyclic blip was also an amusement on the Penzance Scillies trips with the floaty summer...oh excuse me... Anyway it helped to pass an otherwise boring day. :p

Also the strong wind played a part in a hostesses embarrassment at Norwich when a Caledonian Airways charter was loading. :-o The girls took sensible precautions after it had happened once and kept a hand free in case. [-X

Teslas seem to bring out the worst in some North American drivers.

I should perhaps explain that Teslas have eight cameras which record full-time. When parked they start recording if they sense close-up motion.
