The old Varsity at Topcliffe used to have a pogo stick, only removed when the crew was forward. Bring back pogo sticks.

First day of ramp training, always unload the rear hold before the front
When all else fails, read the instructions.

EasyJet flight loadsheet snafu caused by software 'code errors' says UK safety agency
Detailed investigations discovered that EasyJet's departure control software (DCS) had generated a loadsheet for an A320 and not an A321neo, meaning weight-and-balance calculations were wrong for that flight. The older jet had been swapped out for the larger A321neo at the last minute.

In a previous existence, I was ' holding' at Brize when I was tasked with sitting in the left hand seat of a C130 for a couple of hours.
It turned out that JATE (Joint Air Transport Establishment) had come up with a wizard wheeze for loading a Lynx onto a C130.
This was to involve winching the Lynx up the ramp until the rotor head almost hit the roof. At this point the ramp was raised. The weight of the Lynx meant that the forces involved caused the nose wheel to come off the ground and there was a flat floor to continue to winch the Lynx into the hold.
The reason I was there was to ride the brakes so that a sudden crosswind didn't swivel the aircraft.

I'd be interested to hear how they controlled the inevitable crash back down of the nose-gear. Did it hurt?

Not at all! We played with the CofG just walking up and down the hold ( 1 person) as the Her would gently sit on its arse and then on its nose wheels.I have a vague recollection of a bollicking from an Ops Wg senior officer for the shenanigans.
