Did you leave the key under the flowerpot?
Re: Did you leave the key under the flowerpot?
My B737 Type Rating training was apparently incomplete. We were not instructed in how to open a DV window from the outside.
Should I ask for additional training or a refund of my fees?

Indeed - lucky you never needed to?
Re: Did you leave the key under the flowerpot?
How 'critical' is restricted access to the flight deck? Surely there has to be crew members who know the access codes - are these fixed, or can they be changed as can any password?
I find it strange that it was considered necessary to access through a window, rather than obtaining the code from the flight planners.

I think that I still have my Airbus flightdeck door key from before they switched over to electronic keypads.

A lot of crew would never get in through that window
Re: Did you leave the key under the flowerpot?
Even with Airbus windows a bit bigger than the 737's; I flew with some that wouldn't make it out if we had to take to the ropes.

In the tweet you can see the F/O 'assisting' the Captain to gain entry by relieving him of that.bob2s wrote:take their wallet from their back pocket

Wasn't the hump on the 747 to allow the Captain to sit on his wallet ?......to take their wallet from their back pocket before attempting to enter.
Re: Did you leave the key under the flowerpot?
I thought the hump on the 747 was something we don't talk about? Oh, my mistake - I see what you are talking about............
