B52 birdstrike on camera

Came across this one. I assume no one was harmed apart from a few birds, but it was very visible.

Two birds, at least, I think.
Possibly down different engines.
Then they might face the dreaded 6-Engine Approach :))

There was a definite change in engine note towards the end of the clip.

I would imagine they were either going around to run through the drills, or wanted a quick check of all the engine T's and P's at go-around power.
I had a birdstrike - my only one - on short finals in an F3. We went around, sorted things downwind, then did an approach with the offended engine (we both saw 2 birds go down it) at idle.
Intake and engine undamaged, same could not be said of the birds.

Geese are a nightmare.
I think one was even hit by an airliner in the cruise once!
Dread to think what would happen if one ever goes through the windscreen.

I nearly hit a golden eagle once. Missed by about 3 feet. Went over the wing and just past my left ear'ole whilst I was flying low level in Scotland. They are very big!

Descending into Sacramento on gray afternoon with about 1-2.000' overcast we encountered hundreds if not thousands of geese on top trying to find a hole to get down. When be broke out there were that many below.
I don't know how we managed to get through unscathed.
It was the most intense few seconds on top and underneath the layer that I think I ever experienced in a transport category aircraft.
I have had at least a half dozen or so bird strikes over the years, but if we had hit the geese then if would have probably been a Sullyesque experience. Even had a river beneath us but also lots of flat rice fields, too.

Geese took down a Nimrod at Kinloss and an E3 at Elmdorfe

Amazingly I have never had a bird strike. Many close misses here over the Delta.

Two lightening strikes though.

Two very very close near misses. One was a few feet.
