Patrick Ford Death – On the 19th of November 2022, Captain Patrick Ford sadly passed away after a aircraft incident. An official announcement came out on Tuesday stating that an Envoy Air pilot had died after falling while taking off from Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The pilot was eventually pronounced dead by the attending medical staff. It was an Embraer E175 aircraft, and Envoy Air Flight 3556, which was involved in the incident.

Authorities said the flight was supposed to go to Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday night. This flight was operated for American Eagle, which, like Envoy Air, is a subsidiary of American Airlines and was responsible for the flight. The co-pilot told air traffic control, “We need to return. Captain is incapacitated” just seconds after taking off from Chicago’s
He was apparently talking to ATC at the time and just cut off as the jet was passing 2000ft just after takeoff.

Of course, this is against the backdrop of calls to drop to having one pilot in the cockpit.
